Can we have no-proc PvP as the alternative instead of no CP after the patch?

Many of us that have played from the start are looking very forward to this test. Its like playing "Classic ESO" where skill meant something. Since the changes to CP are going to level the playing field do we need no CP anymore? The no proc PvP will be a novelty just like no CP was. BRING ON THE STRONG OPINIONS AND TROLL TRAIN!!!!

I actually think something like this might be a good alternative campaign setting.

Be careful what you ask for though. Pretty much any set that isn't straight up flat stat boosting might be considered a proc under these restrictions.

It would be a very different metagame, probably much more suited to a high level of skill. In theory, that would lead to a very healthy high skill environment. In reality, you will probably still be dealing with the same assortment of players you find on any non GH campaign. There would still be crutches that players rely on for low skill wins. It just wouldn't come from sets. Skills or CP if allowed could still lead to some cheese loadouts, but I suppose that's relative. There will always be something undesirable in any setting. We're just laser focused on sets right now as many are overtuned and mechanically quite viable.

We have gone through the sets and we will be pigeon holed into only a few sets for mag and stam. IMO its still worth it and would be nice to have a new meta in PvP since this one is played out. Everyone is looking for something different and this might fit the bill.

    This would be great.

    A non proc sets campaign.

This would be fair because most of the Magicka classes need to use procs to be competitive against the stamina classes.

The procs are bringing more players to pvp, more Magicka classes to pvp and a big diversity of build.

If you don't like procs or like it, just go for the campaign you wana play.

Current test is part of performance improvement. Also list of all sets not impacted is already provided and based on that it would seem that all sets that are either proc sets or provide conditional bonuses will be impacted.

Specifically talking about this upcoming test. It ofc will not be exactly any "classic" experience as for instance it impacts also sets coming from base game such as 7th Legion for instance however nevertheless it is still a step in a right direction.

Let’s not delete no-CP until after we see how CP plays out next patch.....

Don’t get me wrong, As an avid no-CP player I am genuinely excited for the new CP system, but if it becomes a case that fights once again just become stale mates more often than not, I’m going back to no-cp....
PC EU - NoCP PvP, is real PvP

Legion Commander Tresdin Stamplar DC PvE Main
Sephirith Altmer MagPlar EP Gondar the Bounty Hunter Khajiit StamBlade DC
The Dirge Redguard StamNecro EP Disruptor Stormcrafter Nord StamSorc AD
Lone Druid Bosmer Stam Warden EP Necro-Phos Argonian MagBlade AD
    @ McAttack in game
Played since beta, and then on console at release, until the game became unplayable on console.

They won't delete noCP PvP. EU is predominantly noCP PvP. They would lose the majority of your global PvP players, including me.

BGs should definitely be noProc like the test coming up. That's the closest thing to sPvP (Structured PvP) from GW2. You would see a game much closer to ESport level than the procfest annoyance that it is now.

It'll be annoying and cause more work for me. Taking away my Wild Hunt ring makes a MUCH longer trek to my scout locations even with no speed penalty in stealth from being a vamp. Hmph.

IMO ESO PVP population can only handle so many servers. As it stands there is only 1 full server and the others are at 25% normally. If we split the community further the servers will be dulling arenas not large scale war areas. It seems like the changes are going to change the meta. FYI in no proc pvp there's no more crimson, or other OP tank sets so the fights might not be all about 1 person tanking 10.

This isn't a bad idea. Although I would ask to expand this to include any set that has a flat buff to stats. Meaning sets like sword singer, new moon and seducer would still function

Eso has no business even thinking about eatsports. Battlegrounds are the antithesis of a competetive format for numerous reasons that have nothing to do with power balance.

    The non-proc campaign sounds appealing.

I don't feel monster and crafted sets should be disallowed since many of the crafted sets are disqualified, which many of them do have conditional benefits.
