Could we please get a switch function for a couple of light furnishings that don't have it?

So I recently bought the Remnant of Argon and Psijic Light Globes for my house because I thought they would make for cool additions to my display cases. The only problem is, is that both their lights are... very... very bright, messing with cozy lighting so much that I really can't add them to my house -- even though they're both quite expensive items (Argon being 75K and the Light Globes 20K excl the crafting requirements). I know there are other light objects out there that can't be switched either.
I now have these items sitting unused in my bank, hoping for the day their lighting sources can be turned off at one point or another... is some change like this even possible, or would it be gamebreaking?
