Proper pathing behavior for a feline pet

Cats should wander about and be curious about other furnishings. They should sprint after a mouse and catch it somewhere along the way, or look as if they did. They should explore behind crafting stations and perch on top of tables. I have an example available for study: the white cat inside my current primary residence in Western Skyrim.
