Did they happen to tie any achievements to the sticker book at all? I know that the lack of achievements was a complaining point with antiquities/codex entries that some completionists felt could have added some value.
(On console so I have to wait two weeks to see for myself.)

Are all of the sets that you are saving sets that you will actually use? If they are, are they in the right traits? You need to think of it in the way that the developers did when putting it together for us. We all have gear drop, but it usually isn't in the trait that we want. Or, we may be saving sets that we might use at some point in the future, but the character that we play with right now won't use. There's no point in keeping that gear in your bank taking up space. I mean, it's your bank, and your game, and you can play it however you want. But I think you are not seeing the big picture.

Not really, i still have some 15 full sets of gear that are already in the correct trait and quality, ready to be used.
I'm not going to deconstruct/sell any of those just to clear up some storage space.
Meaning, my 4 mule characters still have a purpose in their digital life.

Yes, but if you do want to reconstruct those sets you will need a ton of purple improvement mats to do so, in addition to the transmute stones.
That is what is holding me back from all those sets I have obtained.

It depends. If those items only drop in Purple quality as their minimum (perfected weapons/jewelry/gear from trials/arenas), then they will be re-constructed at purple quality and will only require the transmute crystals.
If they do drop in blue (most dungeon sets/non-perfected trial sets/etc.) then, yes, it will require purple mats (that said, for clothing in particular, purple mats are cheap, blacksmithing a little more expensive, and woodworking more still, and jewelry, yes, don't decon purple jewelry, unless lowest quality is purple)
Doing random normals or doing PVP reward levels are two very different types of game play to earn lots of transmute crystals. But ooooooonly if you enjoy one specific type of game play. if not, you're out of luck ...

I love the change, especially for inventory space and mythic items. I have several characters I only log for daily crafting writs, even those have a Ring of the Wild Hunt now.
