'Mercenary Status' in PVP or how to do purely PVE content in PVP zones without upsetting balance.

I did not go through all comments so if I am repeating someone else then sorry but here is one thing to consider.

Assuming ZoS goes for this mercenary idea that no alliance can hit a mercenary:

    1. Create mercenary and your group just sieges some keep
    2. Due to resistance first pushes fail however gate are opened
    3. Mercenary makes it in (after all invulnerable guy)
    4. Pushing group gets all intel they need on who is defending, where are they hiding, what numbers and so on. More importantly no defender can do anything about it.

Also regarding making Cyrodiil as PvE area. As much as I agree with IC - that would probably change everything way too much in case of PvE Cyro that would end up most likely in just removing some items (such as sieges weaponry) from loot tables so it would not be possible to go and farm PvP items but on the other hand quest hubs and delves would probably not have to be touched at all. Also benefit indeed could be that for any campaign we would get possibly less people queuing just to do some quests.

Possibly because after all there is already at least in EU 1 campaign that by comparison to Ravenwatch or Grey Host is basically empty...

By that same logic I have 0 interest in PvE, so can I have a setting where I just wonder through trials alone, collect a perfected asylum destro and waltz back in to cyrodil? I find it incredibly frustrating how many times as a PvP player I’ve done vet DSA (over 50 times) to not get a second axe, but I accept that as part of the game. I think my need for meta PvP gear farmed from PvE is exponentially more essential to my style of play than your collecting some letters in the IC unhindered by the goal of the other 99% of people in that zone.

We could be killed by NPCs when we're playing in PvE zones like dungeons. If you don't have reasonable builds, you can't finish the dungeons, trials, etc. Similarly, if you enter PvP zones, you need to equip yourself.

Can we ask for a similar change, to create PvP versions of other zones? Can we get monster sets by killing players without being interrupted by NPCs, and not necessarily need to wait for the golden vendor to change her gear stocks once a week?

There are ONLY TWO PvP zones plus the battleground, while there are already MUCH MORE PvE zones and PvE contents, dungeons, trials, quests, events, achievements etc. The game is favouring PvE already.

If PvP-disabled Cyrodiil is a thing, please also make PvP Summerset, PvP Elsweyr, PvP Skyrim, etc., and please also allow players to get skyshards by PvP ways, to be fair.

No improvement on Cyrodill servers -> no ESO plus renewal.

To be fair, it's heaps easy to PvE in Cyrodiil, I've 100%'d the map on one toon, and got the skyshards (including gated ones) on two different toons back when I hated PvP like burning. As long as you stay away from the main keeps and hot spots (which are marked on the map with the swords icon) as much as you can, you'll mostly avoid other alliance players. You might occasionally run into opposing alliances in delves but that's rare. I've done dolmens at the same time as opposing alliance players, you just have to be careful where you're attacking and with your AoEs if you don't want to kill them off.

Progression in Cyro is across all campaigns, and given there are multiple campaigns you can jump from one to another to see if the towns have been flipped to your alliance for easier doing of the quests, and to see if the tri-keeps have been taken to open the gates to access the skyshards. Your alliance doesn't have to have taken the keeps, either. As long as another alliance holds the keeps the gates will be open.

Stealth through the gates with invisibility pots, or blast through spamming rapids and then when you get knocked off your horse spam heals and head directly to the left or the right of the gates until the guards rubberband back and you can stealth and not be detected. When you're successfully in stealth you're invisible to opposition alliance players.

Heading left or right into the wilderness once through the gates also reduces your chance of being seen by someone from that alliance too. Sometimes you might be spotted and killed, mostly not. Be a little careful when going for the skyshard to make sure you're not spotted and you're done. Rinse and repeat 3 more times for the rest of the gated skyshards.

    Done.

IC is less easy because there's less open space but you can still do the same variations on the above for IC skyshards, quests, etc. Just be prepared to stealth a lot.
