When i first log in im at 130 fps, and the more i play ( in cyro) the lower it gets,to the point where the fps is chilling at like 50 fps.
I have a 2070 super, a 3700x, 16gb of 3600 ram, why is this happening? Is this some memory leak crap? cause its annoying af

Got similar problem from yesterday. Dungeon start - 75 fps (vsync cap) and falling during moving to almost 10. I guess it's new nvidia drivers v 456.38
    Oh gtx 1660ti R5 2600 16 gb

Has been going on for years. It wasn't introduced with Greymoor. You will be met with radio silence from the devs because the bug is probably 5 years old at this point. Yes, you log in, your FPS is great, then as you play over time it degrades and degrades until you restart the client. Then it fixes itself for another hour or so.

We had a threat that spanned several years on this very topic that ZOS closed because it was "old". The truth is that they will never fix or address this issue, just troll you with canned responses.

Same thing going on here, but I never get my fps that high to begin with. I've tried every tweak and "fix" out there (and then some), but none of it has helped, my frame rate is all over the place and micro stutters are near constant.

I have a very similar system. 3700X, 2070 Super, 32gb 3600, game runs off an NVMe, 1080p ultrawide. Everything is updated.

My frame rate cap is increased in the config file, yet I very rarely get over 75fps (my refresh rate), and often stay below it, 40-60fps being the norm, with frequent drops to the 20's and 30's. The only in-game setting that makes any difference is if I drop the view distance to the minimum, but the framerate still wildly fluctuates. It doesn't matter if I'm in a new zone, old, populated area, out solo with no one around, server peak times or slow times.

Addons on or disabled, Gsync on or off, vsync on or off, I've played with power settings, tested a lot of recommended settings for the config file, individually gone through game graphic settings testing each one for performance impact. Full screen, windowed, windowed fullscreen, triple monitor, none of it makes any difference. I don't run my hardware monitor all the time, but in the times I do, I can't say I've ever seen the game use more than ~50% of my GPU. I can't remember everything I've tried as I've been messing with it for the last couple months since I came back to the game. If I can't get it sorted, I don't see myself continuing on for much longer. It's just too annoying to play like this.

I know how you feel. Have had this problem the day of greymoor launch with low fps all of a sudden. I tried everything suggested on the forum. I reduced my graphic settings to lower, not really any change, but it helped a bit with stuttering, but not by much at all. I can play BDO, FFXIV, COD, WOW, rocket league etc on all highest graphic settings and no issues. Just ESO is a problem

I suggest reading the extended discussion as well.

My recommendations off the cuff are follow the view distance/shader cache procedures.
