Incap Strike not dodgeable?

Hitting through dodgeroll and nothing to do with lag. Did they slow the animation so you already took the damage before getting hit by the animation? I seem to only really be dodging soul harvest, never incap

    THis is a solid theory. As a dodge roll focused build myself, I have noticed that I'm getting hit more often than not by incap while rolling. Did some light testing with a buddy to confirm.

    No, it’s still dodgable? I’ve just made skill respec from soul harvest for a while, and a lot of potatoes still dodge it in IC (They tend to roll - roll - roll until out of stamina when meet pvp, so it’s a good testing ground)

    It's just lag/server delay.
    The short story: when you roll dodge, your client sends a message about it to the server, same with your opponent using incap(or literally any skill), if their msg gets to/gets processed before yours, their attack will hit.
    On your end, your client will play you the dodgeroll animation straight away, but that doesn't mean the server will recognize you dodging an attack.
    If you don't get stunned by the attack that hit you, the sever will recognize you as dodgerolling, and you will dodge subsequent single target attacks.
    This is why it might look like some attacks go through dodge, and some don't.
    I've gotten executed "mid dodgeroll" plenty of times in the past.

    Targeting changes that weren't announced which moved targeting and hit detection to the server.

    This results in the numerous issues where you can't target people who are out of range, when they are right infront of you, or getting hit with skills while you think you're in dodge roll or that skills still hit you behind walls that should have been broken by LoS like beams or casttime skills.

    Everything to make "Performance" better but we asked to be able to use skills not have 5 FPS more while not being able to use skills

    It also makes fear nearly impossible to use if you're behind or chasing somebody. You can gap close, instantly fear, and they'll still be out of range. Also other exciting things like getting hit by graveyards and gravity crushes when you're outside the radius but still get deleted.

    I think a lot of people don't realize how different what they see on their screen versus what the other person is seeing on theirs.

    My husband and I play together in the same room, and every time I look over at his screen the position of his character and mine is almost always way different. There's a solid 1-2 second delay between when I move my character or cast an ability and when the corresponding action shows on his screen, which in PvP is basically an eternity.

    People dodge my incap without any dodge roll at all. All the time. Sometimes they don't even appear to be moving at all and still manage to dodge.

    Mine is dodged at least 90% of the time. At least it's cheap.

    I can dodge incap and mine is dodged often, but have noticed it's like they should change the name of dodge roll cause it barely dodges anything anymore. Been hit by light attacks, heavy, spam skills, etc. Even my brother, who doesn't play, seen and asked if that suppose to dodge attacks, I explained some skills cannot be dodged...but yeah supposed to

    Funny because I feel like 75% of my attacks get dodged....at least by certain people. Seriously makes me wonder if there is some cheating afoot.

    Idk. Thought about that too, but seriously just think it's the game or maybe server. Game has more bugs than the free ones and seems they do these "performance" packages like once every year to two years while dropping new content continuously with old bugs now new bugs piled on top old ones. I am no where near any kinda tech savvy, but I honestly think it's just lack of fixing game issues more than I think it's people cheating. I do have a ton of my attacks dodged while I get hit usually around 50ish percent of my dodging fails

    I just keep getting hit in the middle of dodge rolling by pretty much everything, in both bgs and cyro. Lag I can understand but it seems like night and day compared to even a month ago. It seems exactly like it would be if there was lag, I'm getting hit through dodge roll fairly early in the animation; but it's happening when there is no lag so idk.

    it is lag, otherwise the chance for incap to dodged versus enemy with headset is 99.99%

    It might be lag-related, but incap strike and executioner are by far the two abilities that hit me most often in the middle of dodge-rolls i.e. almost all the time.

    Other abilities don't seem to suffer the same issue even in laggy conditions.
