So please.... ZOS... address the problem.... maybe by turning the Volendrung user into a chicken if he or she dares defies the intended duration of at least 30 minutes of hammer mayhem that Sheo have bequeath to us little mortals..... just DO something.

Sheogorath should appear and turn the wilder into cheese which every other present playrrs can eat (via an interaction synergy) and gain a random buff or debuff.

It would be very like Sheogorath to turn them into a chicken for 30 seconds, no skills allowed, after holding it too long, or holding it too soon after they held it last.

I just wish they would get rid of this horrible idea of Volendrung altogether. That would solve all problems with this stupid weapon
