Computer logout crashes in Southern Elsweyr after update

Yesterday, after update, I played without issue.
This morning, after maintenance, logged in without issue.
Went to Senchal and experienced computer logout while still logged into ESO server (could still hear music and ambient dialogue).

Performed safe boot.
Restarted.
First attempt I could see character but frozen UI followed by computer crash to computer login screen (still hearing ESO music and ambient dialogue).

Restarted.
Logged in with another character without issue.
Free roamed for a while without issue.
Traveled to Senchal and experienced computer crash to computer login while still hearing ESO music and ambient dialogue.
Restarted.

Next steps:

Create new character. Once stable, will test in southern elsweyr.

Thank you for the rundown of the troubleshooting you've tried. If the new character experiences crashes, you should go ahead and start a ticket with customer support.

Main (active) character ran without issue after update on May 26

May 27

MAIN CHARACTER
-successful login with main
-Senchal movement, no issues
-entered Lucky Cat Landing housing
-exit attempt of house: computer logout to computer login screen with game sounds still playing
-Safe Boot/Restart/Login: frozen at exit gate of Lucky Cat Landing house
-computer logout with same behavior
-subsequent login attempts resulted in computer logout without getting in game

SECONDARY CHARACTER
Same behaviors as above before entering house, with exception:
-second successful login after initial issues, able to move in Senchal without issue
-entered Lucky Cat Landing housing
-exit attempt of house resulted in same behaviors as for main character

NEWLY CREATED CHARACTER
No issues seen, including entering and exiting Lucky Cat Landing housing

PC/EU

EXISTING CHARACTER
Login successful
-travel to Senchal successful
-entry to Lucky Cat Landing housing successful
-exit of housing resulted in same behavior as existing characters on PC/NA

If it is, this seems to be an ongoing issue with all newly created questing zones created since (and including) northern elsweyr.

I contacted the support team a few months ago about it and eventually they told me to just report it as a bug. As far as my experience is concerned it’s still not fixed.

I would suggest you go through the motions anyway, the more people reporting it, the more chance it will get fixed.

I personally find southern elsweyr to be the worst zone for this.

UPDATE FOR ADMIN - @ZOS_BillE - 28 May 2020 at approximately 2:40PM PST

Loaded main character successfully.
Character had exited Lucky Cat Landing on last crash, and now appeared stable.
Re-entered Lucky Cat Landing to retest; system crash on exit attempt as previously described.
Restart and relaunch this time, however, was able to load main character, which was again exited from housing.
I did not retest going re-entry into Lucky Cat Landing for a second time.

Result: improvement in recovery; this specific issue appears to be isolated to exit of Lucky Cat Landing housing with existing characters only. Seemingly random, but recording information in case it might be useful.

Had the same issue, currently it seems to be fixed. What I did:
1) Mac OS settings -> security -> Accessibility -> re authorized ESO and ESO launcher here
2) Switched from fullscreen windows to fullscreen

2 days without a computer logout so far.

I didn't take those steps and have had 2 days without computer logout, so who knows? lol

I do know that this time, the issue was very very specific, to location and to character status. So, I used this thread to provide very clear, succinct information for admin in case it ends up being useful.

But I'm glad that changed the behavior of the game for you.
