Decisive Trait (Negate Tank)

I read and old forum post talking about this trait, and someone mentioned that it would be good for healers, more ult more heal ults, the counter argument was you lose healing by taking away your powered trait.

My question is, on my Negate Tank Sorc, Im only there to drop negates, so I need max amount of Ult, It is worth to add Decisive to my weapons? Im currently wearing, BloodSpawn, Akaviri, and Shalks. Adding Decisive gives me more at no true loss to my character?

If you can, or cant answer that question can you answer this one? How much ult per second are you getting with a gold 2H?

When you block/dodge an attack or deal damage with a LA, you trigger the base regen ultimate which is 3u/s for 8s.

The decisive trait has a 40% (gold) chance to give you 1 additional ult when you gain ultimate.

This is subtile but if you have a bloodspawn proc, it's considered as 1 ultimate gain that allow you to proc 1 more ultimate.

So : 14 ult from bloospawn or 15 ult if decisive proceed.

What you have to conclude is that it's the frequence of the procs that matter for decisive trait.

    It's a very niche trait.

To maximize your ult regen you can first start to be a Nord (5 ult every 10s) and + using minor héroïsm potions (1 ult every 1.5s)

If you are carried by your group and that negate spam is ur only job, go for decisive anyway.

Don't use shalk set, potions give u the same buff, choose an other set. (These potions are expensive unfortunately)

Can you fit heroic slash on your bar? It's gives minor maim and minor heroism for 12 seconds. The pots are way too expensive. One of my tanks can have 100% uptime on warhorn. I believe it is my Nord DK tank. So you got the 15% reduction from Akaviri and 15% reduction from Sorc. Are you a Nord? That helps a bit too with ult gen and the resists are great as you can easily hit cap. If you can squeeze in heroic slash, I would go with Hide of the Werewolf Set (have to do weapons/jew as it is a medium set) which gives 5 ult every 5 secs when you take damage and the stats aren't terrible either for a tank, line of health/stam and a line of weapon dmg.

I also run Invigorating Drain (not sure if this will be viable in Greymoor with the cost increases, etc, etc) but if you know mechanics well enough and know when to use it, that's 15 ult over the 3 second drain which is pretty huge. You can sometimes just spam this depending on the boss/encounter. If you can squeeze that in somewhere, I would run the decisive trait on that bar with the invig drain. I personally have never used it since I can keep warhorn up usually with 100% uptime. Also did not need to use Bloodspawn either on my tank. With the above setup, you might be able to run something other then Bloodspawn if ya need to. Consider possibly Chudan as it will free up your armor buff slot on your bar. Hope this helps. Good luck with that negate spam.

Sorry just realized I was looking in the pvp combat forums, Invig Drain might not be the best idea or Chudan. I was thinking from a PvE perspective. I jump around the forums too much and forget where I am sometimes.
