noooo more, I would be compelled to start another one and then gear him up....you know how expensive it is to gear up 18 fully leveled toons at today's current market prices? (ha)

With the current character slots you can make 1 of each class dps for both stam and magic, a healer, a tank and still have 2-3 slots left. That is more than enough.

Again, quit assuming that what is enough for you is enough for other people. You don't know how others play, you don't know what they're using those characters for. Do people really have to be told such a simple thing over and over? Do people not stop to think there are uses for characters like mules for people without ESO+ or people playing across all three Alliances for PvP?

It's enough for you. Stop making the decision for others it's enough for them.

Honestly, if 18 characters can't hold all of one's mats/gear/furniture etc. , it may be time to consider a possible hoarding issue.:)

Uh, that assumes everyone that has multiple characters uses them as mules. None of my 18 are mules. They all just carry their own gear. All six of my tanks have their own sets of ebon/alkosh/yoln and monster sets, same with my mag and stam DDs, they all have their own pvp gear, etc. I use about half the inv space on each character to hold all their stuff and there are some rare sets I keep in the bank to pull out on whatever character for particular situations.

We should be able to buy as many character slots as we want, in the crown store.

Didn't they add 3 new slots with Elsweyr? 1 came with the chapter and 2 in the store iirc. That seemed like a reasonable addition with the new class. Not that it did anything for me. I still don't have Elsweyr and been perfectly happy with the 8 characters I've made. It'd be nice to have one of each race but that's not a big deal. Certainly not big enough for me to consider purchasing more slots and the Imperial upgrade. And for what? So I can repeat the same content yet again? I'm good.

That being said, I don't see why they wouldn't add at least one new slot to the crown store with each chapter. If they force you to start a new character in the most recent zone you purchase, it seems like that would make sense, right?

How much time do you spend on each of these characters?

I've played since Early Access (beta before that), and have like 7 characters. Each has thousands of hours on them and can fulfill any role in the game I want them to with a simple switch of equipment and skills.

I understand roleplayers liking the alts, but I'm also legitimately curious on how much time you have on each of the characters?

there is also people collecting cars and dont drive each of them every day...but sometimes you are in a certain kind of mood...

I still don't get it. I change my outfit on my characters now and then to change their appearance, and change gear/skills to change their performance. There's nearly enough slots for 2 of every race. If it's just appearance/performance like cars, it still seems a bit excessive.

To each their own though. I don't care either way if they increase the character limit. It just seems like there will ALWAYS be people wanting more no matter what the limit is.

As a certified altaholic, it's like asking an alcoholic why they drink. It's a case of "gotta try this class" or "what if I do this instead of that" etc. There's no real rhyme or reason to it, but in other games, where I have substantially more play time, my alts are all capped, and ready for whatever content. I only have 8 here, so far, and only three are capped, with one brand new one, well, level 3, but I've also only got about 3 months in with three years of having an account.

I could always use more character slots. While I currently have a single "main" (magicka sorc) I am always messing around with alts to see if anything else catches my interest. New races and builds for those races, and crafters, so many crafters. More slots would be nice

I already have 17/18 characters....yes all but 3 of those are under level 25 but please SOS.

I was saving 2 spaces to play through the Greymoor tutorial but am on the fence now since I've not (and won't) preorder. Do I want to wait until the end of the year when the chapter goes on sale to make those characters? Or just miss out on the Greymoor tutorial entirely so I can play them now?

(And with the direction of the game/questionable choices by combat team those two spaces may actually become mules if I don't renew ESO+).

How about they first add a class change token for the people that only want to play one or maybe a couple or characters?

I would love a class change token. I have one nigthblade to many :D but with horse training done and research time and completing the main quest on the character I will not delete it. Never deleted a character once I create it. My own problem I know but a class change would be nice.

I think they best raise the max amount of characters on an account from 18 to say 24 or so.

Although I have no interest in playing every possible option myself I do for instance have 4 wardens: mag healer, stam tank, stam dd dual/bow and staff dd. If you're really a fan of this class I imagine you'd may also want to compare racial differences and different morphs for solo/arena vs group content.

It'll probably go up by 3 (to 21) with the next class. However, unless they let us merge accounts, I seriously doubt they'll give us that many character slots at once.

The character slots is a server load issue.

I already have (and given feedback). But I do like having characters with different stories/starts since I can't choose the original start. And I might be able to play it on the PTS but not everyone can.

Yeah, this last piece is absolutely true. It's still a little disappointing that we can't pick the tutorial, when that could be implemented with a drop down menu. (Or, implemented well with selection buttons.)

I get why, at the end of the day the tutorials are not intended to be grand experiences, they're just a quick primer before you get started. However, bits of story have been bundled into them since the Morrowind tutorial was added. So, yeah, it is frustrating.

One mag dps of each class and one stam dps of each class is 12. One tank and one healer is 14. There are crown store slots on top of that, that get you to 18 characters. You can have one of every class in both damage rolls plus a tank and healer or multiple and STILL HAVE SLOTS LEFT.

    Your math is off
