Audio Addon / Change for NPC/Assistant

Hey I know many people have asked this, but I'm wondering if theres a way to alter or hide an assistance voice. Like well, very specifically "Ferez" the cute cat assistant that doesnt have a very cute-ish voice. I was thinking of learning addons but I dont even know how I can get into the audio files... Any thoughts?

All addons could do is change the sound settings you are able to manually change as well.
e.g. alter the sound volumes.
But as there is no API to detect voices or sounds you can only react on maybe chat messages that NPCs write, and if the chat message appears mute the sound (th#s how NPC muter addons work e.g.).
But if the merchants do not add any chat text we got no chance afaik.

Addons do not alter game files so such a feature is not possible.
