On Xbox NA, the new BG matchmaking system has seemed to be working fairly well for me. (Save for a strange 12 hr period where no one was getting ready checks)
However, one issue that has been reported on both PC and console relates to the 5 minute "waiting for players" timer once you enter an insufficiently populated battleground. The timer will show 0:00 for extended periods while the battleground does start and waits for more players to join. This leaves those already in the battleground in an understandably confused position and certainly adds to the frustration many have been feeling with battlegrounds matchmaking since the patch.
If the battleground is supposed to close after 5 minutes of being unable to find players, then it should close. If the timer is resetting for some reason, then the timer displayed in the UI should reset as well. As it stands, the timer gets to 0:00, the BG remains open, and players are left wondering wtf and may take the deserter penalty because there's no telling how long the battleground will continue to look for players.
