most times i dont see mudcrab chittins from hireling gatherers. i get daily writs requiring chittins, they are pain to restock, only see a chittin drop like 1 in 20-25 kills, very bad ratio or RNG hates me?

The Chitin has long been a pain point, as it doesn't drop from the surveys you can receive.

✭✭I just buy Mudcrab chitin off guild stores, takes a bit of searching to find a good price.
The RNG for drops is so low I would not gather enough for my daily writ crafting, without dedicating a day or more to hunting Mudcrabs and to be honest even if they made the drop rate 1-1, I would still buy off guild stores.
Its one mat I am happy to let the bots in game farm and supply, I miss 40 gold a piece Mudcrab Chitin, lately its been anywhere from 80 - 300 gold a piece, I don't pay much over the 100 mark though. (On PC/NA)

✭✭✭@Dracofyre Rng hates you imo. I farm a bit of mudcrabs everyday, my drop rate has always been kind of good.
