Flag Games and Land Grab reversed?

I just realized today that Flag Games and Land Grab are reversed under "Specific Battlegrounds." So, it seems that when you queue for a Flag Game, you are actually queuing for Chaos Ball and CTR -- ie. not Flag Games (Domination and Crazy King). And when you queue for Land Grab, it's basically the opposite. It's rather random and minor really, but it definitely looks like an oversight.

Flag Games are the game modes without flags. Makes perfect sense.

Its confusing because Land Grab is the one that deals with literal flags (the banners) while CTR and Chaosball have more in common with "Capture the Flag" style games.

@VaranisArano That's a great explanation, thanks. ZOS's naming for the different game modes is still somewhat odd though. Anyway, it doesn't make a lot of difference since most players queue for random BG or specifically for DM.

OP, you’ve stumbled upon one of the funniest naming issues in the game.

A long time ago, CTR used to be called CTF. And chaosball didn’t exist. And crazy king didn’t exist.

Then they changed the name of CTF to CTR.

And now in flag games there are relics. And in land grab, there are flags.


Another funny one - earthgore spawns a pool of blood, whereas bloodspawn covers your gore with earth.
