Traits
I would like to start researching specific traits. Will it make sense if I ask a guild mate if he’ll make what I need if I provide the mats? Should I always use “white” items?

✭✭✭✭✭Researching will destroy the item, so using a cheap item is best.
You can buy cheap examples for most items/traits. For jewelry and nirnhoned, it might be better to ask someone who already knows it to craft one for you to research - if you ask, its best to provide your own mats.1 -

✭✭most guild mates will make you a white level 1 research item for free, however they will expect you to provide the trait material for expensive items that require Potent Nirncrux and Jewelry trait mats, since most sell and don't stock those.0
