This skill gives away free cc immunity players still have full control over their toons, should they keep attacking the dmg punishes them for doing so, by reducing the dmg portion it becomes meaningless and is basically free immunity with no draw backs. Yes I agree the "bug" with volitile armour etc should be fixed but the rest of the skill should be left as is. If not then remove the cc portion if it

I agree, fixing the interaction between total dark and volatile armor was a good thing, but the nerf to it's damage is just unnecessary. 25% is a hefty reduction.

As I've written elsewhere, I understand that this balance pass was intended to bring skills in line with each other categorically... But @ZOS_Gilliam please take counterplay options into account in addition to the raw math. This skill costs a lot and potentially does absolutely nothing.

Somebody on Templar discord (can't find their @ name here, sorry) suggested that the first "thorn" tick from eclipse can be reduced, but every subsequent tick increases by 30% so that it could potentially do more damage. But only if the target doesn't use any of the obvious counterplay options available and keeps firing off direct damage attacks. Great suggestion. Or, reduce the damage to whatever you want but make it not break-freeable. If it goes to live as is, it's not worth slotting.

The skill is honestly a buggy mess. Damage *should* be reduced until it's more reliable to break-free from.
