I love anecdata! You should bear in mind the same principle applies, only those extremely incentivised will go nuts about it.

The AP boost reason is risible. 2 friends of a different colour is all that's needed to AP boost to high hell (like, emp in a few hours level), you really think folk can't find 2 friends across 5 guilds who are a different colour to "help" with that for an hour?

There was a certain AD player repairing Alessia Bridge and turning our siege with no recourse last night. Meanwhile, their emperor last campaign was talking trash in our zone chat. I can't wait until faction locks go live so that things like this stop happening!

I've played both CP and no-CP extensively over the years, so my opinion isn't pulled out of thin air. I'm "pushing this so much" because a substantial percentage of vet PvPers have been asking for faction locks for years to combat the trolling and faction-hopping, and when ZOS says OK, someone like you whines about it because "I can't play with friends", when clearly you can, with minimal effort.

Have they really though? Or is it merely a small, but very vocal percentage? After all, people who are OK with the current system aren't going to be whining, are they? You don't angrily ring your utility company and complain about your stable electricity service, do you?

Judging by a recent sh*tstorm in Vivec NA/PC zone chat, it looks like a slight majority of players want faction locks. It's time to stop the stupid conspiracy-theory "ZOS is catering to a few crybabies" type arguments. They stated that the reason is to combat exploits like AP boosting, so let's just see what happens. If the locked campaign is dead like a lot of you anti-faxxers claim it will be, then you can all come here and give us a big, fat "we told you so".

Who is claiming the faction locked campaign will be dead?

Because it's the CP 30 day campaign where for over 5 years people have just default to, preferring to wait in 100+ ques rather than play on underpopulated campaigns, it most certainly will not be dead.

This is true. Zos did not really offer choice in the matter. They know those in Vivec will stay in Vivec because they want to PvP instead of running around trying to find players to fight. It has always been this way since the game launched.

The only difference is what do players do with their alts from other factions. In the beginning many probably did not create cross faction alts because of the lack of faction locks many of those same players did create cross faction alts to run with friends.

Personally I think Zos needs to offer faction change because this is they created this mess. I have no need for it but it is clearly, without a doubt, a problem Zos has created, not player created. Granted, I expect the same poor management of this game we have had with Matt Firor and that Zos will continue to make poor decisions as they have since before launch but it is still worth noting it is the right thing to do.

Had a group of scrubs openly working together on cross faction toons today outside of nikel. Yes khajiit caught it all on stream. Yes this one was grumpy.

But they also had a good laugh at just how pathetic it all was. =^.^=

The saddest part is that they had to struggle so much and put so much effort into fighting a handful of folks. Ones in a barely organized PUG. A PUG in which one third of its participants were under the cap. One member was even level 24 at the time.

It gets even more pitiful when you realize the faction they chose to fight was barely two bars and trying to prevent an emp push by the locked one. An emperor push which failed by the way.

If such self proclaimed 'good players' were truly as skilled as they claimed to be they could have easily taken some keeps this one's pack took with minimal efforrt. Instead they chose to huddle in stealth clinging to their purple blankets, and waiting for the 'zergling baddy bads' to do it for them.

Which we did. Easily. Despite this one being so admittedly bad at this game.

We then went back to fighting the red side of team purple as we felt such pity for the bloops. After all they must have reached quite the sad soft state when their 'good' players so openly admit that they couldn't fight anything but a barely functioning PUG, and or empty keeps.

    Again.

    In other words.

Lock it up, and throw away the purples. If these elfish silly boys are as numerous as they claim to be then they can enjoy being pathetic together on the server that permits such 'skillful play'.

    exactly.

You both are confused. Nobody is against the faction lock thinking it will be dead In fact quite the opposite, it will be severely unbalanced the majority of the day is the problem. Your average casual being gate camped isn't going to play at all, something this game can't afford to lose above all, the average casuals.

You have to realize your type is actually the minority. The zerg ball player who only plays during raid time player is the minority. Your types only play 2-3 times a week for a few hours and are scarred to PvP outside raid time in any fashion, which is fine and I am glad your types are part of the community. Most ESO PvPers are ultra casuals who play solo zerg surf whenever they get the free time to log on. ZOS needs to cater to the majority, the casual.

Ultimately the game is already dead so either outcome will not be that big of deal.

Now, the truly clueless have arrived - clearly this game is so dead that they are having capacity issues and need to bring in new hardware to handle all the players.

I'm confused, are you saying the lag and faulty coding is caused by the ever expanding enormous player base and not ZOSs inexperience and just not giving a f*ck?

Don't get me wrong, its a 5 year old game btw, and I have got my monies worth, but come join us back in reality please.

The pvp population of this game is much smaller than 2 years ago and even smaller than 4 years ago.

What you have described here is very irrelevant to faction lock.

When we did had faction lock it was common for a guild to get help from other guilds including some from other factions.

The first week the game was out one player helped a player from an opposing faction take a scroll. We had faction lock.

Considering how much intermingling we have had since faction lock was removed this is likely to continue and nothing you have said suggests otherwise.

You are equating bad with dead. I never said bad or I wouldn't be here. PC NA can barely fill one campaign for prime hours only, the other 18 hours a day is one alliances turn to pvdoor.

You have many high PvE claims in your title. I PvE at a high level aswell, one of the main reason at launch I had to create characters in all alliances, so I was able to participate in multiply high end PvE raids. Yourself a high end PvE playe , how can you sit here and claim to all of us that Cyrodil or high end PvE raid content is currently competitive and busting with activity and fresh faces?

But at least they'll have fewer options, and excuses, for being be so willfully unimpressive.

Furthermore this one does not believe that just because you'll inevitably die of old age that you should just go around lopping off your own head off and calling it a day. But if you wish to take the opposing side in such an argument khajiit naturally respects your ability to do so.

Those were great videos I watched and you are the SECOND player I’ve seen using 2h and DW. I thought I was the only player that plays with no bow or staff. I find it much comfortable for me. Many players told me I cant beat maelstrom arena
Without long range weapons and prove them wrong (got 2h weapon). But wow didn’t know dc and ep join forces like that. I see ad and ep work together all the time on PS4 servers. But yes I’m glad campaigns will be lock next update. I’m sick of players filling up zone chats with bs messages and orange players fighting against us DC players. I just want something fare and actually see real players fighting for their alliance to see who is the strongest. People that wanna “play with friends” that’s on other alliances should just play the other campaigns and BG. I remember a few times people steal scrolls and thinking we’ll get it back cause it’s a dc player that grabbed it, just runs to the water and get themselves killed. It makes me boil inside to come home from work just to jump on and see that happens. I spent a lot of money on this game and I expect players to play fare in the campaign. You cannot be a sore loser and switch alliance just cause your alliance isn’t winning. You just gotta get better and build a better group or guild that wanna win. We all have taken L’s when the campaign is finished but don’t be a stick in a mud to have other players can’t join the campaign cause you switched character to join in a different alliance to collect AP or troll all day. That right there is some NO LIFE ish
And I dare say to ANYONE that still wanna troll or wanna put the scroll in water, I hope you players get banned from ESO PERIOD!

Khajiit has a great sense of humor. Which is why they're always laughing at those who try so very very hard to dissapoint others.

To Telel such things are jokes that never end.

Though hopefully those jokes will find it harder and harder to become punch lines.
    Character: Telel
    Class: Night Blade-Werewolf-viking-ninja-catgirl-mallet wielder
Past times: Refusing to go full magika spec, hitting things with a big hammer, sniping, and speaking in khajiit
Also: Gelel the Derp Knight, Altsel the streaker, and Filafel the temp temp.

Khajiit has a twitch stream! https://twitch.tv/telel_khajiit feel free to come see how truly unskilled Telel is.

This one will follow Telel to empty brindle and set up his oil. This one plays the same faction as that one.

If Telel had such the humor that he claims, he would laugh it off and not cry about the strange coloured teams.

I'm looking forward to faction lock. It's a great idea in more competitive campaigns. AD has been doing pretty well on Xbox NA recently and I can't tell you how many times we've been at last emp keep and someone from an opposing faction logs into their AD alt and dumps a ton of forward camps so the last emp keep can't put one up. It's disgusting.

maybe they just don't like him? Been there with PC NA
As Agrippa said https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/comment/6019677/#Comment_6019677 camp trolling can be simple. I know exactly which player it is he has mentioned and he has been fc spammed and 20/20 oiled on last emp keep multiple times.

Those responsible are 90% ep loyal. They just don't like him.
And those that are trolling just blew nearly 500k ap to peeve some people off for less than 10 mins. Yeah, I'd rather cash in on some good golden stuff.
But alas, some people just want to watch the world burn and those 90% ep loyal will burn away.
And well being ep loyal, faction lock does nothing.

that was my first time trying to copy another page's comment sorry. Took some edits before i got it!

The only people faction lock benefits are people who only use or pvp with one character. people who have several characters- FAR more people than some seem to believe- get completely screwed by the change. no longer will they be able to pvp when thye feel like it, which for casual pvpers aka most of cyrodils population, is a complete deal breaker. ZOS will come to understand this in time and when they do we'll see these changes reverted to the kicking and screaming of the hardcore few.

Where do you get your numbers from ! I see the same faces over and over so most of the population cant be just causal pvpers , so come back with proof of this and I might side with your point of view

I have all multiple pvp characters I play and they are all DC so not sure how can say it only benefits players with one character. It benefits anyone loyal to an alliance as it should be. I do have other alliance characters I pve with but do not pvp with them.
