I read you can get a purple chest with this. What is needed to reach that goal? Or is the chest random?

You mean the Jester's Coffer? It's a random drop as far as I know, and I don't think it's specific to a particular Festival quest.

I am pretty sure it is a random drop from all three quests.

Thanks. I thought you had to "solve" the quest in a certain manner to get the purple result.
