Why is my Redeem Code not recognized?

X Box One platform...
I recieved a gift Morrowwind which included the Discovery Pack, HARD COPY...
ALSO a digital copyright holder of ESO and I'm fairly sure Morrowind was included in that purchase.
When I inserted the disc it played its intro screen and than went to what is installed on my X Box.
All I wanted to do was to view the contents of the Discovery Pack, to see if I might want them.
When I entered my Digital Game Code...
X Box told me code not recognized and to contact vendor.
I tried 3 times, all with the same end results, "not recognized"
So I'm contacting you folk...
Any solutions or sugestions.
