I thought about making one (male) but they always end up looking so weird and... nasty. I am really interested in playing one but... it's so hard.

✭The key here is revealing armor/outfits. The scale patterns on Argonians are really unique, and it helps to show them off.
Try out combinations of Argonian costumes or styles with different scale patterns; you might find one you like.

Making cool or nice-looking male argonians is possible. First off, I'd like to show you mine Deet-Mar, my argonians sorc.
First he was a vampire.
Then I fed him and restyled his outfit.
Finally, this is him today
I think the trick is to balance the facial slider in the middle between heroic, soft and sharp since all three of those extremes will mess up the facial structure. You also need to make the nose as big as you can make it to accentuate the snout. Make the ridges above and under the eyes extend no further than the jaw. 100% Posterior Dimensions for a big tail!

From what I understand first stop thinking of them as human. Next think of base animal like dragon, bird, fish, owl, or lizard. Then work from there.8 -

✭Anyway allways set your face to edgy with a bit strongish hit. There is a small area where you can see your pupils to go into human ones. And try to go lizard one. Its on really the edge1 -
