like cut purges cost to a quarter but have it only target the user, same with things like rapids.

these are effects everyone wants to use but have costs attached to them because of zergs who don't even care because they have dedicated spammers anyway.
ESO player since beta.
game got too disappointing.

Yep. One morph should really be a self purge or one ally only and at a cost of 3k or close to it.

It is very clear that these are supposed to be "support" abilities and would change the intended purpose of what ZoS is trying to do with the skills.

Having said that, if it were made a single target morph I think a fair purge morph would be just duration reduction on negative effects (no removal) and also a cheaper cost. That way it keeps Templars unique with a complete removal (vs. just a duration reduction).

Looking at the suggestion through the distorting lens of PvP again I see. As a PvE tank I would LOVE to have the ability to purge Velidreth's crazy powerful poison in vCoS....its very difficult to survive if your healer happens to NOT be a templar. Purge is way too expensive to slot for the purpose with a small magicka pool. I agree with the OP here...but since both the above mentioned abilities are PvP abilities first, I understand they have no intention of catering to PvE players wanting to use them.(I play both PvP and PvE myself). Its just another example of why they need to make completely different skill trees for PvP and PvE and neither tree can be used in the other content...then and ONLY then could they actually balance the abilities without affecting the other half of the game.

    Vigor.

Diversify the vigor morphs and make 1 self only and way cheaper.

hey now I play pve too XD and yeah I agree that there are some nasty pve effects it would be great to purge, it just has never really been an option to slot purge for (because of cost) so I just did not really consider it, would be great though.

that's a great idea too, have the one morph increase the area, and have the other reduce it to single target and reduce the cost. that would be fantastic.

it would be cool to even have a revealing flare morph be more like a mage light effect and center off caster, or be a target effect like mark target

There is Efficient purge if you really wanna slot that for a stam toon. But since the speed nerfs, I don't see ZoS changing rapids (other than whats on PTS now, which no one likes). I would also like to see the second morph of Caltrops changed to something that players would use. I seriously can't think of any time in my PvP career that someone said "you should slot the horse caltrops". Honestly. NO ONE uses that morph. I almost can't think of another morph of any skill in the game that is more useless.

actually that's a fantastic point about caltrops!

I hesitate to think of something like a less damaging version but bigger snare as that puts it into the range of time stop and there is enough rage about one skill doing that. and moving more single target kind of puts it into the real of trap from fighters guild. . .

not sure as to an alternative, but a great point non the less.

Rapids should have a morph with the old functionality, single-target, for PvE QoL reasons. A high cost is acceptable for that purpose.

Haha, absolutely not. This would completely gut any builds that rely on damage over time. The amount of damage mitigated by one single purge is completely insane. You could easily mitigate five times the amount of damage any single heal could at a fraction of the cost.
