Telvanni Paintings and Velothi Triptychs

Do they drop in safeboxes? I don't recall getting anything rare from safeboxes. I did get a small one, my only one ever, a couple of months ago, I think from a treasure chest somewhere in the wild.

Safeboxes in Vvardenfell regularly drop motif pages for me.

Safeboxes in Vvardenfell regularly drop motif pages for me.

Thank you. And I've heard of the paintings dropping from safeboxes, treasure chests, thieves troves, pickpocketing, and regular containers in houses (cabinets, crates, sacks, etc.)

safeboxes in vvardenfell -- i have yet to pull one though . but there are safeboxes in every town -- and i forget the name of the town on the middle left but the tavern has a safebox and also three drunks you can pickpocket for a chance at the plan for the skooma bubbler

Paintings and triptychs can drop from any safebox in Vvardenfell, however after personally opening well over a thousand of them, I can say with a high degree of certainty that it is a ridiculously low drop rate. We're talking farming 5-6 hours a day for a week or two before you get a whiff of a painting, with odds much lower of getting a triptych. On the bright side, you will score a boatload of motif chapters and plenty of blue treasures to sell.

Which one did you got from a chest? A Telvanni Painting or Velothi? Never heard of Velothi Paintings dropping from chests.
Had 2 Telvanni paintings from chests today tho and 1 last week as i try to get any of the extremely rarely Vvardenfell plants that drop from harvesting clothing and alchemy nodes. Pick up every check i came across on my farmroute and got 3 the last week. Found 7 or 8 Telvanni Paintings overall in the last 3 years of plaining, also one from a chest in vHOF.

Still wondering where the Velothi Paintings, Tapestrys and Triptychs drop from tho. Probably all 3 types generally from pickpocking on Vvardenfell, no matter if from Safeboxes, loot containers or pickpocketing? Heard something a while back that they drop better from pickpocketing priests and pilgrims on Vvardenfell but im not entirelly sure anymore.

I read somewhere that they dropped from students and scholars. I know the priests and pilgrims can drop burning incense furnishings and censer plans. Hadn't heard of them being a specific source for Velothi paintings/tapestries, though.
