PS4 Battleground crashes

Hello,
I wasn't sure whether to put this here or in technical support. I am playing on PS4 on the EU server and I am constantly crashing out of battlegrounds after about a minute. This happened 4 times in a row last night and every time I log back in I have the deserter penalty, meaning I can't join again for like 20 mins.
This is driving me insane and almost making the game unplayable, has anyone had similar problems?
My Playstation is fairly new, probably 6 months old.
Any help would be appreciated.
