Jewelry Trait Master - requires 18 traits learned? (Answered)

Do you need 18 traits learned to get this achievement or would it be enough to get 9 distinct traits in either rings or necklaces? My progress shows me that trait becomes checked when it is learned no matter if it was rings' or necklaces' trait.
But my English is not so good that I could completely understand what "each" means in "Research nine traits for each type of jewelry". I understand it as if I need to research 18 traits in total or "Research nine traits for both types of jewelry".
So what do you think\know? Also I would really appreciate input from someone who got the achievement on PTS. Do we need 9 distinct traits learned or 18 for this achievement?
Update: Thanks to Edaphon I got an answer. It is enough to learn 9 different traits in any jewelry type. Will check it tomorrow
