Only HDR Option Available In Settings?

lonegreywolf20ub17_ESO
I have the Xbox ox One X with a 4k Samsung Curved TV. When I looked on the Xbox in the area where it will tell you what your TV is capable of and if it meets the Xbox requirements for 4k, everything was checked off including HDR.

I went to enable 4k in the game and all I see is the HDR option. I read in another thread that there is an option for either 4k or 1080p and that you need to switch it from 1080p to 4k. However, the only option I have is HDR brightness.

Is that the only option or am I missing something somewhere?

You have to turn on HDR for the port your Xbox is plugged in to through your TV settings. HDR won't work on Samsung unless it is manually enabled for that input port.

    What model is your TV?

The model of my TV is un49ku650df.

The HDR is turned on for that HDMI port. My question revolves around the fact that the only option in ESO is the HDR slider.

Is that the only control we have when it comes to the game and 4k?

Yes, that's the only option. I've got mine all the way up. Not really sure about it either but mine looks good.

There was never two versions of the game....its either 4k, 4k HDR or 4k downscaled to 1080p....its all TV driven.

You do need to set up your TV and enable HDR, its often not called HDR tho
    Try this - https://www.windowscentral.com/xbox-one-x-hdr

FYI the HDR slider will not work if you choose game mode on your TV, maybe try Cinema or Vivid. (JUST THIS GAME )
I run this game under Vivid HDR on my LG and its fine but under Game HDR its too dark and the slider doesn't make a difference.
