Lag in ESO - Not noticing other issues with games... Bad support, great work Zos!

So, I've raised multiple tickets over the last few weeks, checked with ISP, checked playstation settings but Zos are doing NOTHING to help. I've played this game for years, spent money, spent A LOT of hours on it and I think to be honest the experience I have now is so bad I might just quit...

I've had delay/freezing every 30 minutes, the old "Unable to connect. Make sure you have valid connection" message pop-up, mid game, in a dungeon/trial or just roaming around. It's really s__t to be honest and I think I've had enough. Zos your support is terrible, you don't even ask for a tracert in your ticket responses or a speedtest etc...

I'm playing other games on the SAME connection WITHOUT issues so what gives? Just to people out there sticking with the game wondering whether the lag issues are yours or theirs, its probably theirs. They'll get you to waste more of your time on the phone to your ISP who will say "do a speedtest, restart your router" - my speedtest is fine. 100mbs download time etc...

No I'm not aussie... I'm UK based, with Virgin 100mbs internet on PS4.

No issues with other games. Raised tickets, they "close duplicate" status them and I have to raise a new one. I'm done with the back and forth, they can't support anything to do with this but it doesn't happen with anything else. Other people have raised this ticket.

Just here to say, other games I've tested this on it doesn't have the same issue so whats the point in wasting time to lag and having a terrible experience...?

The amount of LAG on TESO is impressive. Never had so much on any other game, still dont have so much lag on other game.

The servers have been shocking on PC/EU too this week, Cyro is usually bad for most players but this week it's even hit pve. I play a couple of mmo's throughout the week and they do have their own issues but nowhere near the amount ESO does which is sad as it's my fav one but I can't sell it to friends from other games to come join me here.

Check your router-settings, if ipv6 is activated - this is a known issue causing disconnects every 20-30 seconds

Lock? For what? Saying they have bad service and lag issues that they won't fix? I've had to raise 2 tickets, that they give me bad support for - auto close the ticket - I try to respond after further testing... "closed - duplicate" and they force me to open yet another ticket.

They haven't troubleshooted anything really, aside from generic "contact isp" message "turn off and on again"... no speedtest, no tracert, no logs requrest or IP's to ping and check that... it's just REALLY bad.

I guess if they lock this they lock it but its embarrasing. I want other people to see what this is, they don't publicise any information here - they're saying "check ISP" "check PS4" - well i've CHECKEd and TESTEd with other games, tested online games on my laptop and PS4 and ESO is the only one that disconnects me.

I found some other information, disabling IPV6 and disabling Teredo settings in router could help... maybe Zos need to test some things themselves.. and see if this works.

To you who says this is a nuisance, I'm trying to help people because i've seen other threads where people have exactly the same issue. Maybe they're spending hours trying to fix something that isn't broken because it is Zos. THerefore, I don't believe I'm a nuisance, I believe i'm trying to help people. I've spent ALOT of time trying to test and fix my internet with many different settings testing only to find that actually it is not a problem with my ISP settings it is a problem with Zos that they do'nt admit, thus, costing me hours of time trying to resolve.

It's not a nuisance, it's only a nuisance to you because you don't benefit from this information. You're not helping anyone with those comments so just don't even bother posting if you have nothing to add

If you haven't tried a complete reinstallation of the game, that helped with similar problems that I was having. It takes the best part of 24 continuous hours for me to download, install and then load the game for the first time, so I'm suggesting this very reluctantly.(oops... playstation)

The only form of protest that will work, is to stop spending money. You wasting time, works to their advantage. Look around they aren't fixing anything that wastes a player's time.

Yeah I've tried a full reinstall overnight I left it but it didn't work.

Performance is pretty bad. Two nights ago me and 2 other people dc'd on the final boss of vmol right before execute and one of them was trying to get her skin. Rip score rip skin rip drops when we got back. DC's are way too common now.

Yeah, we had it a lot on PS4 vHof 4th boss... last boss is also a lag fest...

If only 2 people DC'd on final boss, you should've still been able to complete it though? Other people would have been in the instance and you could just start again?

Yes, it is really annoying... and it's forcing me to think about other options as I'm wasting my game just running around trying to not freeze up... don't get any help from Zos on this either.

Unless they carried out when you DC'd and killed Rakkhat. Otherwise, just start again, decent team can do it in <1hr.

Ye they managed to beat him in execute minus the 3 dps but people had other trials and what not so no second run. Another guy I know who's been trying to get skinned has dc'd 3 times so far at final boss still no skin lol. It's quite annoying wasting an hour not getting a score or drops but luckily I enjoy the trial itself minus the bugginess.

I have the same problem. I'm in Texas, my PC is wired directly to the modem, so no router and no wifi, 200mb connection. Every other game I own plays just fine, but I have constant connection issues with ESO. Sometimes I'll have stretches of normalcy, sometimes it's so bad I literally can't stay connected long enough to play. Then I will log into SWTOR or GW2 and play for two or three hours with zero connection problems.

I seriously doubt it's on our end, OP.

Someone has a game-breaking issue that is preventing them from playing and you come in to be snarky for internet reaction points with a plethora of un-funny jokes.

The only "nuisance" is the video game studio that can't get a game to perform as expected after like four years of being in existence. Even if a "dramatic flare" doesn't make a difference, a customer who has been wronged by a faulty product and poor customer service should absolutely have the right to voice their frustrations. Quit being a troll it isn't a good look.

Yeah exactly that, only with ESO. Which sucks, because it is a decent game other than the fact it can be completely unplayable for 10-15 minutes... can't trust it to stay decent enough to do a 6M dummy DPS test.... woo

I know, played gw2 for 3 years and zero issues (had to change because of RL issues an now ended up on consoles) used to play on a tier 2 server (maguuma) and jumped in mass groups (atleast 50+ people vsing 50+) in wvw and hardly got dc'd just a frame rate drop from time to time. Ping sat around 150-200 being in Australia with 10mb down and 1mb up (yes potato internet). But even with those limitation, had a very smooth experience. Wish i could say the same for eso

I'm getting movement delay... like I can't move properly... anybody had this at all? I'm at the end of my tether to be honest, i've done most things I can think of. If i move, it just moves in that direction for ages... spells won't work... it works OK for 5 minutes then it goes back to that. I'm tired of this Can't play any more it's got so bad. PS4
