That would cut out a lot of the griefing that goes on in this game, would be to allow us the option to harvest or open chests whilst in combat.

This thread isn't intended to be used as a platform to discuss the morality surrounding the act of stealing nodes or chests from under the noses of others, it's purely to discuss giving us the option whether we want to fight/risk dying at the expense of harvesting nodes and opening chests. Because no matter what people say on here, it happens and will continue to happen. However, I really dislike the fact that it's currently decided for us and as a result can cause a lot of unnecessary salt/friction in-game.

    True, but the point stands. Anything I say to you won't make you change your viewpoint and vice versa (if we do indeed have different viewpoints) and is just an exercise akin to pissing into the wind.

    Or they could just figure out how to make combat end when the mobs die....

    Funnily enough, I have no real issues with the timer after combat ends on normal mobs, the worst combat delay timer is on non hostile things such as mice, centipedes, deer etc for some bizarre reason. That seems to take way longer. Or is that just me?

    Problem with that is that now i don't have to actually fight any mobs, I can zip in there, grab the node while only taking a few hits and then zip on out of there. Mobs are now pointless for a dedicated farmer.
