So is ESO on Xbox currently unplayable?

My friend just quit the game because when they would log into the game and choose a character, they would never load into the game. RIP

Seems a bit extreme to quit over a technical problem. Just open a ticket.

Just one character or all of them, which region, was it during maintence today or outtage couple days ago.

Trust me they have done everything that they can do. They have contacted support.. no help. They have tried many many many suggested fixes.. no help. They had ESO plus and bought morrowind and went the full nine yards for nothing. It's every single character. They have great internet and any other game works fine. It's something on ESO xbox servers end. They can't load into the game at all. The r basically playing ESO's character screen and that's all. If you ask me that's not very fun content lol

Oh and it's been going on for like 2 weeks. and they basically gave up today after the patch, hoping something would've been fixed, but wasn't.

The game is currently in the best shape its ever been in on XBox, both for PVP and PVE. It's definitely an issue with your friend's console.

Thing is, it’s been a technical, Problem for over two years. Often times it’s zone specific but also with each update the game has atrociously long loading screens

Many of us are spending a lot of money on hardware to combat this but at some point you realize the goal was to play on console vs buying hardware like you’re on PC.

From a technical standpoint this game is one of the worse bug ridden games on Xbox one in context to the length of time a bug exists and the frequency of new game breaking or annoying bugs.

Lastly, having to open a ticket for problems that impacts thousands.....makes sense at first but months later, it means something entirely different.

Quitting is the appropriate choice if someone is unpleased with their experiences on an entertainment item.

Sorry @NewBlacksmurf you are saying thousands of people are unable to log in and play the game for two weeks? (the OPs problem) As I'm certainly unaware of that.

Thus working with support to resolve (annoying as that may be) is probably the only answer, clearly something is up in this specific case.

The game is working fine on Xbox NA and EU maybe it's just your friends Internet or Xbox that's the problem. What helped me was getting an Xbox X or Xbox one S Works great as well, also fiber Internet 1G upload and 1G download, also an external 2T SSD and no WiFi and NOTHING hooked up to the Internet other than the Xbox

• Full Restart to clear cache (Hold power button until it turns off)
• Try on an external HDD/SSD
• Complete re-install (Delete game data, then the game)
• Put it in the bin
