Furniture Starter Set

What do you think a starter set of furnishings, that you could make without advancing your crafting skills, should be?

Right now, you can get plans for a bedroll, a stool, a mug and not much else. I'd like to see a table, a plate to eat from, and maybe a bucket in the corner. What are your ideas?

There is a quite a lot that can be made with a no skill point investments in crafting. Of the recipes listed below, some might be Blue or Green or Purple, but I don't think you need to improve the skill, like say Recipe Improvement, as that simply does not exist for the other 5 craft lines. You can find some of these recipes with Crafting NPCs scattered throughout the game.

I took a look at those, and yes, they have one of their required skills at 1, but the others are higher. E.g the first one requires Blacksmithing 1, but also requires Tailoring 3 and Woodworking 4. What we need are items where the highest level needed is 2.

The best I could find for a table substitute is the rough crate. And that requires woodworking 2.

The worrying thing is the number of items at that level that you can only get with crowns. I was wrong about the stool (crown-only) but there is a level 2 chair or two.

There is a stool and a tea table that can be purchased from any home furnishings vendor. True, they can't be crafted, but they don't cost much gold.

I have friends on my server who can make stuff for me if I want it. I'm really just commenting that it's strange that a character who can make complex sets of armor, can't make a table and chairs, or a bed.

We need some rationality in the furnishings, and spreading the plans a bit lower is the most urgent. My point was that any character should be able to make a basic set, and replace with better as they evolve, the same as we do with combat equipment.

There are a few things you can make from the outset, but it's not enough to live with. A bedroll is great, but a chair, a table, and what else? A cup, a plate, knife and fork? Right now my Nord is using a crate as a table. Should she be drinking out of her helmet?

True, I overlooked the other skill requirements.

However, getting your crafting skills leveled to where you can make "mid tier skill" items just takes a few hours, if that, of grinding mobs. For this, find zombies and bloodfiends, netan somethings or other undead as they drop the most Glyphs and are squishy. Just farm mobs, and decon loot. Side benefit, you get gold to buy recipes and materials. Anyway, there is at least one of these areas that have scores of these fast spawning mobs.

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

I noticed recently that a bed is one of the Level Advisor rewards coming in the next update (and now on PTS). So they're already aware of the problem, even if it hasn't been fully answered.
