Shadowy Supplier?

Half a year ago or so I got quite a few furnishings from the Shadowy Supplier, 4 candles of silence and a shadow and light skull candle, or whatever it is called.

However, since they went over to providing us with a container from the NPC instead, I haven't gotten a single piece from several months of daily farming.

Did they change something when they changed the Shadowy Supplier a few patches back? Do you have to pick other options to get the furnishings now? Has anyone gotten anything from this NPC lately, and if so, what option did you pick and what did you get?

Try every day, but have not had a housing item since Clockwork City release, if not longer.
About a 60/40 split between the first two options.

Well they certainly lowered the RNG into the abyssmal, to match every other lousy RNG since Morrowind dropped.

Either that, or something has simply bugged out. Would be nice to know if anyone had actually gotten anything in this time frame.

I got the skull candle today, from the Sentinel refuge. A few months ago (October), I got the candles set twice in a week, also from Sentinel. After that, I tried going to other refuges, and never received another furnishing item until I went back there today. So, my experience leads me to think that the drop rate might be based on the location rather than just RNG.

*Edited to add: I always ask for “something to make me less noticeable”. I read somewhere that was the only option that dropped the candle items, but I could be wrong.

The skull candle, which option did you get that one from? "less noticable?"

It could be they have changed it, for the skull candle used to be from "potions and poisons", but it hasn't dropped there in ages for me.

I doubt location has anything to do with it, it said nothing about that in any patch notes, and it would be a weird thing to implement, especially without notifying people of it.

Yes. Also, I found the link where I read about the drops and which option to use: http://en.uesp.net/wiki/Online:Shadowy_Supplier

Agreed. It’s likely coincidence, but I’ve had good luck there so I mentioned it in case other people have the same experience, or want to test it/try that location.
