Housing & homeless npc's

While wandering around the zones, we encounter homeless npc's. How about the option to hire them to look after our properties, or just give a couple a place to live (at some stage in the future). What do people think about this idea? Yes, I know there are more important things in the game to deal with, for a lot of players. Just an idea.

Im hoping at some point they let us buy more npcs including more undead

I want a stealthy Nightblade that guards my home. When someone enters he follows them in stealth, if they turn my lights off he assassinates them from behind and they respawn back where they ported from.
