Xbox One X - NA load screen after patch 12/1/17

Just reporting that after the patch update and a cold xbox one x boot up, I got the unusually long load screen message.
As I type this thread its been 4 actual minutes and the message appears and goes away...and appears and goes away
System: Xbox One X (Game is on the internal Xbox One X HD)
Update: It completed and I also updated another game next before starting to play this (No other updates are pending)
ISP: Google Fiber 1 gig wired Cat 6 6 feet cable directly into Google box, no VPN or other switch boxes exist
Observation: After 2 minutes the sound stopped but the logo keeps spinning and occasionally it says this is taking longer than expected
-The xbox menu sounds still occur so its just the game
-second attempt is just a black screen with the logo......2 minutes so far
-third attempt I reached the character screen after 1 this is taking long to load message and was able to enter the game
Note: I only got this once or twice before the patch and quitting the game and restarting removed the load screen but the load screen ran over 5 minutes until giving Error 308 Lost connection due to inactivity Please log in again to reconnect.
Mind you I never reached the character screen
