Exorcised Coven Cottage - still no gold purchase?

Why is the Coven Cottage only purchaseable with Crowns? I'm sitting in the hut, with 1 million gold, and all the achievements from last year, and the gold option is not availalbe.
What gives @ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_JessicaFolsom ?

Bc the Festival hasn't started yet - you can buy the cottage for gold only during the Festival, which starts tomorrow.

You need to get certain achievements to open the fold option.
Need someplace to practice your unholy sorceries away from prying eyes? The Exorcised Coven Cottage will be available for purchase with crowns in the in-game Crown Store for the duration of the event, and if you earn the Witches Festival achievement “An Unsparing Harvest" you'll unlock the ability to acquire this bewitching home for in-game gold!

To unlock An Unsparing Harvest, you must earn the following event achievements:

Happy Work for Hollowjack
Plunder Skull Enthusiast
Pumpkin Pairs Well With Guts
Reaper's Harvest

Why is that bs? The cottage is only available DURING THE FESTIVAL for BOTH gold and Crowns. No one can buy it with Crowns prior to the festival, so it's not like they're promoting the crown purchase over gold. It's a holiday house that is available for purchase with either gold or crowns DURING the festival.

I can see that it's frustrating because you can preview it now. Heck, I previewed it over a month ago and noticed I couldn't yet purchase it for the gold price listed and there was no crown price indicated at that time. Only just one more day and you can purchase it with gold.

Aha! Just saw another thread asking about when the cottage is available for purchase, and evidently, it's available today in the Crown Store, but you can't buy it with gold until tomorrow, when the festival starts.

So, while I don't think it's necessarily a problem to have to wait another day to purchase it with gold, there will be people who aren't aware that you can get it with gold and may buy it with Crowns today. So, that is bs.

Also, in all the promotion it was stated as ‘Cottage will be avialable om the 19th” then “available for hold during festival” kinda hidden somewhere else. It’s this kind of crap the will get me to quit.

Yeah...sorry I didn't quite understand your initial post.

But, I did see this in the announcement article, so it looks like they're putting it out there that you can purchase with gold when the festival starts. Hopefully it's in the CS and not just this article:

The Exorcised Coven Cottage is available on all platforms for a limited time, from October 19 to November 1, and costs 3,500 crowns for the unfurnished version and 4,400 crowns for the furnished. You can also buy the unfurnished version of this home for gold starting tomorrow (October 20) after completing the Witches Festival meta-achievement.

there is a great deal of people who don't go to the forums, who don't follow out of game advertisements religiously, whose only notification for this house is the pop up they would have gotten today of the house being available along with a bunch of other crown shop items. it creates a perception that its a crown only house. which. is shady. it doesn't personaly affect me, but just becasue something doesn't personaly affect me - doesn't make it any less shady.

probably more shady than putting achievement totems on luxury vendor at 4 times the price, since in this case actual RL money is involved.

in other words. i personaly have zero issues with waiting. its STILL shady practice, what they did today.

When you preview the house and click on purchase options the default option is 250,000 gold. I doubt anyone is going to purchase the house without first previewing the house.

yep, i had the purchase option when i previewed it earlier. 250,000 gold. Hoping I made enough with my guilds auction this evening. Havnt gotton on,i just got home from work. Deffinitally getting this house as soon as I can afford the gold...

Its not some shady deal. You preview the home and the default purchase is gold. Its not shady that the information to make an informed purchase is there and people choose to not make an effort to get that information. Stop blaming crap like this on a company when the people are too Damn lazy to use available information.

Third, when I previewed the house yesterday (the 19th) when it wasn't yet available to purchase with gold, the gold option was greyed out AND there was a note indicating that the house is only available for purchase with gold during the Witches Festival.

People who don't pay attention, sure, would still fail to notice and complain, but ZOS can't be blamed if people don't actually read what they have provided in digital writing.

And that's the same argument I'm using. The information was there, you said so yourself. Just because it was in the store a day early for crowns isn't shady. I'm guessing it was greyed out yesterday because the festival hadn't started yet.

I just think this is really a non issue

the problem is - it said "no longer available". and its shady becasue I guarantee you that some people bought it with crowns becasue they misread the descriptions. yeah yeah, their own fault, bla bla bla - if ZoS made it available simultaneously for both gold and crowns, it would not be an issue at all.
