Ruins of Mazzatun in Veteran is that possible to accomplish?

Hi,

i would really love to get the Monster set that Drops in this dungeon, but since weeks i can't finish this dungeon at all.

Common cases are:
1) We get in Dungeon, 1 or 2 leaves the party.
2) We start the dungeon is all die without end.

I'm solo player, with no guild to run dungeons, so my only hope is find people in the group finder that is competent enough to do it.
What should I do???

Yeah, you either want to find a guild or find people looking to run it in zone; you'll have better luck if it's the pledge that day.

It's not an easy one to pug, that's for sure.

Or join a chilled guild and just use it for this dungeon. Guilds aren't a bad thing many are setup for solo players think there's one called Lone Wolves or solo players or something. Check the guild forum.

Join a guild. That's some kind of the best solution for a lot different problems.

Groupfinder is always a bad idea. Find a group via zonechat, then you can avoid all those issues. Idealy you wait until it is daily, so it's a lot easier to find people.

I pugged vet mazzatun twice when it was the pledge, it's quite possible. Though it's normal to have to kick one or two who have 5k dps, 12k hp or don't know mechanics and have resistance to english. Mazzatun is often painful even with relatively competent people so expect wipes. Also if the tank leaves as soon as the dungeon loads, the dungeon finder will probably not find a new one.

On Xal-Nur, decide who takes the spice and frees the lizards, so you don't end up with everyone ignoring the spice, or freeing multiple lizards at the same time.

Even in casual guilds or trading guilds you should be able to find some people willing and able to do this dungeon. Asking in zone chat is also an option.

In all DLC dungeons 2 or 3 exp players can carry the group. But to find such group through group finder is very hard. If you want the easy way, join guils and ask people to take you. Nobody obligated to do it so you have to be nice.

It's very good to have such dungeons where teamplay matters, hope ZoS will deliver more and more of them and we will see more and more solo players complaining on the forums. The monster set which drops there isn't the best choice for solo anyway.

My advice -
Take a close hard look at the monster helm. Do you really need it? Could you settle for another monster helm?

Because you are going to have to put so much effort, so much suffering, and so much pain to get this helm. There are other sets you could get much easier. Just make sure this is a helm you want that badly.

I myself, would never farm vet mazz with the group finder. When I used to be an ESO plus member, it was on my "instant quit" when I zone in list.

If you use PUG, you will need four vets on Normal RoM if you want to do this without big issues. Anyone less than cp160+ will be a drag on the group. Vet is another story - look for all cp600+ guys to have some room for error.

The guild he's referencing is Lone Wolf Help (I think). The entire premise behind it is that, even if you're a mostly solo player, there are some things (like trials and dungeons) which are difficult, if not impossible to do solo. So it's a place to get help if you need it, give help if you can, and facilitate the solo player tendency with a multiplayer feel.

I still don't get it why people complain how hard some dungeons are, and when you open the topic you always find out they've been in fact PuG-ing from zone chat or even Group Finder. It's really a toss up. I only PuG easy veteran dungeons with a character that can solo or almost solo them, solely for the multiplicity of drops that can be swapped between group members. I would never PuG any of the DLC dungeons though since group synchronization and individual skill can make the difference between repeated wipes and flawless runs. I farmed that dungeon quite a bit for motifs right after they came out, but the group was strong and a few times we did no-death, speed and HM. Runs were typically around 20-25 minutes and I did up to 10 in a day.

The solution is simple: join a guild. I can see dozens of them advertising in zone chats each time I log in, and there are also plenty here, on this forum. Each server has its separate thread. Other people don't bite.

As others have mentioned many times, join a guild or ask in zone chat.
Bear in mind though, that group play in Mazz is quite important, so is communication.
Discuss mechanics with team (even if they already know, simply because different teams have different ways of tackling mechanics). Much easier to farm Vet Mazz with a commited and dedicated group, though.

Personally, I only farm it with 3 permanent other players with whom I get along very well. Simply because I've gotten used to our group composition.

PUGging it will mostly cause you pain and suffering.
