I've actually never read the prequel A Dance In Fire before I read TAA. Hands down my favorite; I've only ever found it at some out-of-the-way campsite in the Shivering Isles in TES IV. This book actually mad me laugh. A lot.
But then, I am a dark, twisted, and quite possibly disturbed person
Look it up and read it, and imagine reading it at 3am, as you're just going about your business running errands for Sheo. It was unexpected and idiosyncratic... and funny!1 -
