Suggestions to make Domination and Capture the Flag more about PVP

DOM:
Steal what Destiny did in its control mode. Make scoring based on kills, but you get bonus points on kills with flags held.

CTF:
Make defending more viable by creating a 20 second protected flag status after killing an enemy carrying your flag and returning it to your base. During the protected flag status time you would still be able to capture Flags by bringing them to your base but no one would be able to take your flag away. The 20 second duration allows for your teammates to respawn. It would at least make defending more important, and hence would hopefully lead to a higher emphasis on fighting and less on just running flags.

    Domination would be better if there were 2 less flags.

    Ctf has a lot of different routes you can go one being flag holders turn into a skelly or something and have base stats and give them custom skills and a bar setup only specific to flag carriers that way you could still use any build effectively in ctf without penalty.

    Or you could just simply make it so you have to cap the relic before you can hold it.

    Great ideas.. id love a flat turrain to play on also besides getting stuck in rocks or other stuff that i cannot see when abilties are being cast.

    You want domination to remain as the 100m Sprint is currently is? It's literally players who think they're Usain Bolt, running to whatever flag is empty and capping it uncontested (doubt that was intended) whilst two teams+ fight over an objective (as they should be)

    @StereoLiz What's your suggestion to improve it?

    I like it as is. If you can't burst and kill enemy fast you lose points. Its up to ypu - fight and kill fast or avoid battle.
    Btw you can earn some super-defender medal (1000 medals for each) and win match even if you take less flags than other team.

    CTF and DOM don't really feel like pvp to me.

    For CTF it just does not work for me with 3 flags, it should have been just 2 teams. Because as many have said, right now one team can simply avoid pvp and capture any flag without much contest simply running up and down with immovable and speed buff.

    Domination is simply running around capping the objectives, the faster you can run, the more you can avoid pvp, the quicker you win. This could be solved by indeed cutting down on flags.

    Again, I simply don't get why 3 teams should be duking it out, it makes the whole thing a balance nightmare, as there will always be one team that can simply ignore all pvp and go for objectives. (DM excluded)

    I also don't think you should be able to have any sort of movement buff on you while you have the flag. It's so annoying when someone casts rapids, grabs the flag and Usain Bolts it back in 2.5 seconds.

    I may be in the minority here, but I actually really enjoy Capture the Flag as it is. Though I kind of feel like it should be renamed to Run the Relic or Relic Runner/Rush, and Domination become Capture the Flag.

    I like the variety. God forbid you have to use tactics besides "kill everyone". If a team in ctf can avoid fights, they win. Same in domination. I love when the other two teams get caught up in fighting each other, free win.

    A lot of interesting suggestions here, mostly aimed at ZOS modifying the game to individual preferences.
    How about discussing ways in which the existing game modes DO offer excellent, fast paced pvp action?
    For example, if one team is dominating in CTF the teams behind should focus taking the relic from the lead team's base to prevent them from scoring.
    PVP is about more than out-gunning your opponent in an heavy-attack brawl. Outsmarting your enemy, out-maneuvering the opposing fighters, and coordinating as a team to secure a clench victory is just as much a part of it, and BG's offer a perfect mix of all these things for those who take the time to master them.

    Now, what ZOS needs to focus on is fixing the darn queue issues and removing exploits.
