A rating system is needed , New/ weak players stand no chance what so ever a rating system is needed before the OP teams make BG's impossible for new/weak/pug teams to prosper. here is evidence. its at the end.

    its not bad when 1 premade rekts and farms another premade, the REAL PROBLEM is when a premade farms a bunch of solo quers.

    A cp Battlegrounds would definitely help that. Most groups like that would be in Cp. however I'll just take a working que.

    I couldn't agree more. You'd think that with a multitude of other titles that have faced the premade versus solo issue, that ZoS would realize that is a problem. Its like they constantly design their game in a vacuum for just 15 people, only to find that their scheme doesn't work when deployed to a large population

    Yet another game attempts small scale team-based PvP.

    Yet another game uses the same jaded, copy & paste, tired old match formats and puts no effort into innovating.

    Yet another game repeats all the many mistakes of previous games and fails to learn any lessons whatsoever.

    Yet another games releases sub-standard PvP that fails to meet the requirements of either veteran premade or solo casual players because they couldn't be bothered to put in any mechanisms to get people into appropriate matches.

    Yet another sloppy, half-baked mess doomed to neglect in the long term, which no amount of double AP events and forcing players into the battlegrounds to earn a lame achievement will fix.

    I don't think I would have used the same tone, but I have to agree with the overall sentiment. I'm left with the feeling that many on the Dev team are not true consumers of the industry. Some of the these things are just blatantly obvious. Its like they do no real predictive analysis, or even historical analysis to know that some of these problems are very, very old indeed, and always call for either a radical change, or for that aspect of the game to wither

    I noticed this too, but I also see sooooo much exploiters and cheaters in BGs. Its completely ridiculous how many cheaters I see cueing up in the non-CP battlegrounds. I have seen players of opposing teams have infinite shields up that seem to never drop (according to the animation of it floating around them and the damage they never take), to seeing players hit around 80% health, but not go further down EVERYTIME. I try to report these as often as possible but there are so dang many....

    What about if you just want to play with one friend though? Two, two person groups could still easily get steam rolled by a four person premade.

    I solo queue all the time. When I notice a bunch of premades getting on, I'll start building my own premade of players from PUGs that are good.

    I really don't want everyone to be random because then there's always the chance that I'll get stuck without a decent healer... crazy how hard it is to win when you don't have a magplar in the group.

    If they make a solo queue only option, I'll never join it. It'll just be a roll of the dice on the team composition... better to make my own premade than deal with that.

    Actually turned the console off last night, 3 BG's in PUGs against OP premade teams with Stam Proc or Warden OP meta trouncing everyone. It gets full.

    I'm not sure how big the BG community is. While queuing as a solo player even on weekends I tend to find myself repeatly seeing a few of the same people in back to back matches.

    MMORPGs aren't releasing concurrent subscriber or active population data. You always get, "we have 8 million registered players". But how many of those people actively playing the game?

    I feel like if ZoS were to split BGs into solo-queuing, group queuing, no-CP, and CP enabled types it might be harder to find 12 people to play.
    Hence why they lump all of us into 1 group. That sucks. Just my theory.

    BG's are cool when you run with an organized group that knows how to actually PvP... so many times, when solo queuing, I get stuck with a team of folks that are either new to PvP, low level, or both...

    And I often do see the same pre-made groups... which does lead me to believe that there just aren't enough people doing BG's.

    Still though... I'd rather face a pre-made with pugs than deal with getting zerged in Cyrodiil...

    I don't think the population is high enough to split. Remember bg's are locked behind a paywall. Players like myself who PvP mostly but do pve too may still have alot of pve content to get to (for my main and character I only play since returning) still have Orsinium, IC, the dlcs, Caldwell's gold to complete.

    I really enjoy the chaos of Cyrodiil, so bg's wouldn't be a primary activity. If it was included in ESO+ I would have done a match by now but I'm not going to spend 40 just for occasional matches when I'm not even close to doing Morrowind pve content yet.

    I definitely think the paywall has effected the bg population but not because people are cheap. Instead population is lower because they haven't "gotten" to Morrowind yet.

    Whenever I queue almost everyone I am put with are the same. If I queue into one game I can be assured I will a high chance of seeing over 50% of them in the next game.

    If I wait 10min for those people to get into a different game, Group Finder stops working until eventually I'm placed into a game with the same, familiar names. Not sure if there are very few people playing BGs after being neglected for months or if the Group Finder is still completely broken. Either way it's sad that things turned out this way.

    Bgs is already quiet empty on eu, hoping to get match atleast after 5min q. Getting in match with 14lvl randoms vs premade of 1000+ cp players not fun, but spreading people even more will only make bgs more desolated.

    Pvp was always a niche in eso, all battle grounds has done if further divide an already small base. Given how rare it is for me to see the same player in pve land, seriousely I can't remember the last time, the number of folks doing battle grounds must be tiny

    The incentives to play BGs are few. If some rare rewards like exclusive motifs, alchemy mats (like a winner's wreatch to decon into flowers/reagents) or just a flat out 20k AP for completing a match were available, I'd think we'd see a higher participation. I don't need a 25th impregnable green ring.

    That's true. The population is not big, after playing a few hours you know most of players you'll ever see in there. At least that's the case on PC EU. And yeah, the rewards are not great. The 2k to 6k AP you get are 2 or 3 resources or 1 outpost capture in Cyro, and the sets you can get are not really good as well. At the moment th only incentive is playing for the fun of it, but that goes only so far when you do PUGs.

    It's really a shame BGs was implemented poorly because it's a great form of PvP, has many advantages over Cyrodiil.

    A basic (perferably skill-based as opposed to time based), rank system and basic queueing by game type are 2 things it needs.

    The game mode also needs to incentivize players to play it, because as it is now the only really incentive is leaderboard rewards, or the rare piece of gear that actually sells for a decent price.

    I might make 10k per week off the gear but it really does not sell fast which limits its value.

    I still feel I am spending too much for what I get from the game mode, but play it because it is enjoyable.

    Some of the gear sells really well. Wizard's riposte in impen and impregnable armor in study both sell amazingly. I usually make 200k a week off of BG rewards. I could never do that in cyrodil.

    BGs pay for my terrible potion habit lol.

    We need two things: a fair match matching, and .

    1 - the ability to choose "playing leaderboard" or "just for fun" as it is in ES Legends, for exemple

    after that :

    2 - diferent queues for premade or solo

    and then, a correct match matching.
