Shattering Mirror Quest Confusion

ShadowEevee128
In Stonefalls, at the Sathram Plantation, there's a quest you can pick up about how a khajiit slave named Ra-Shadda summoned evil spirits to get revenge for this dead wife. All of it I'm able to follow fine, up until the very end, right as you turn in the quest. When Ruvali is doing the animation to untie Ra-Shadda, you're able to speak with him before turning in the quest. Talking to him will have him praising you for helping him, saying things like, "I will tell the moons about you, so they may guide you." After you turn in the quest and he's freed, you can run after him and speak to him again. If you manage to, he speaks about how Dark Elves treated him and his people like animals. Then says something along the lines of, "Ra-Shadda did not think such cowardly blood was in you, he was wrong." So this is where my confusion is. I helped him, I freed him, I saved his life, he was grateful, up until he's freed and running off. Why so hostile towards someone that just saved your life? I didn't understand it the first time I went through this quest and I still don't understand it now. I don't know if I'm missing something here or what. I'm almost thinking this is dialogue that's supposed to play if you opt to kill him, but since I never went with that choice, I can't confirm it and it seems weird that it still plays.
