Casting ball of lightning and empowered ward is removing the effect of retreating maneuver. Is this a bug or somewhat intended?

    Thats streak. Ball of lightning doesnt damage or stun anyone nor buff allies.

    "Transform yourself into pure energy and flash forward, stunning enemys near origin location for 2 seconds. Also absorbs any spells for 1.8 seconds."

    Sounds a little bit like a stun for me ;)

    @Destruent What Im trying to understand is streak does much more but it doesnt remove retreating maneuver when you cast it without affecting anyone you know?. Im talking about using it while escaping from the enemy.

    Then i'd say the bug is on this side, bc it's a damaging spell and should remove this speedbuff.

    @Destruent That doesnt make any sense though. Even using RM + streak a sorcerer can only go too far before a medium armor user catches up with their sprint buff passive and a lack of cost increase in sprinting.
    Heavy armor wielders arent meant to be fast anyway so theyre irrelevant here.

    The armor, in and of itself, with which a character is equipped does not have any effect on the character's movement speed. It is natural to believe that it does, or that it should, but it doesn't. A character equipped with "heavy" armor walks, runs, and sprints at the same (unmodified) speed as a character equipped with "light" armor does.

    However, there are abilities, passives, and specific armor sets which increase a character's movement speed(s), and/or lower the Stamina cost, too. In my opinion, frankly, the Rapid Maneuver ability is one of the worst ideas that the ESO design team ever had. Among other things, R.M. (and its morphs) can cause significant system performance issues for a player's computer while their character is in a group -- or in the presence of a group -- especially while they are moving mounted.

    Also, I find it moronic that a character equipped with "medium" armor has an ability which, when used, enables them to move faster than a character equipped with "light" armor. There's not even an equivalent ability, or a passive, that enables characters equipped with "light" armor to move faster than the unmodified movement speeds that correspond to walk, to run, and to sprint, respectively. (Never mind the "racial" passives that increase movement speed, also.)

    Doesn't have to do anything with this discussion. Retreating maneuver is supposed to break from anything which can effect enemys/allies like buffs, healing damage, stuns and so on. That's how it works. If streak doesn't break the speedbuff it looks like a bug for me.
