Vanguard's Challenge Set

Does anyone else see this set as being a real issue? This is just speculation of course but what I see right now are duos/small groups running around Cyrodiil with a very tanky build using ranged taunts and tremorscale to activate the 5th trait and then a high damage/gank builds going in for the kill with high defenses thanks to the 5th trait. Add a healer to that group and you're looking at a very, very cancerous setup. It also doesn't state any kind of cooldown so this could potentially be recast every 15 seconds? CP/Class changes or not there are still going to be very, very tanky builds that can take a lot of hits. And I just see this set as being used to further encourage spam/gank groups who like to sit at resources and outnumber people. Now they'll have the added advantage of all their glass canon builds receiving 50% less damage. The tactic with such groups is always to go for their healers/dds first, this set derails the only real defense you have against these groups whose players tend to go down like a sack of rocks if evenly matched. Nevermind what talented players will do with it.

    Yes, definitely still abused. I mean, with this set and SB you're looking at being able to run an incredibly tanky build with tremorscale and this crazy damage mitigation for your party.

    And you're getting 4% healing taken increase for the 4th trait, I mean common. This set has abuse written all over it.

    I think the NDA prevents beta testers from discussing this. Feel free to speculate, but don't expect any answers from people who have actually tried it out.

    I tried this set out. It has no limit on the number of targets and has no cooldown so you can keep 100% up time. I found it a little OP when used on a blazing shield tank.

    The animation is a red beam to the target kinda like soul tether and has a really long range. At least you can tell who used it on you pretty clearly.

    If there is a red beam obviously marking the person who is using the set, then this set will be fine. It's seriously dangerous to take 100% extra damage from an enemy and you are broadcasting yourself to the person you taunted that your defenses are significantly weakened.

    Ok well, if it's not an NDA issue...
    The set makes you and the person you taunt turn red, and connects you with a couple thin dotted red lines, which really could be made more prominent as it can sometimes be hard to notice.
    The range seems to be about 28 meters. As you get close to the edge of the range you start to flash red instead of being solid red.
    This set will be great for small group tanky healers who stay behind their dps team mates, tagging opponents with Inner Fire. Good team coordination to focus down anyone trying to break through the dps front line to kill the Vanguard would make the group incredibly strong.
    I actually think this set will be good for small coordinated groups vs. uncoordinated zerglings.
    I didn't test it with stealth, but I think the effect would stop if you did stealth. Someone else can chime in if they have actually tested that aspect.

    Seems like it needs a cooldown. Consider tank builds that can survive 5 or more people wailing on them for 30 seconds or more. That's well over 100% extra damage from one person. I mean if you run into a duo with this set as a solo player you'll have no chance.

    i haven tested it yet. does it have a guard-like visual effect and does it break on LoS? If so, it sounds kinda fine, imho

    Person being affected has two choices:
    1 - Go all out against the person affecting him
    2 - move back and wait a bit just like a lot of people do when they get affected by major breach

    go all out - every time.

    its win - win

    if the vanguard's DDs huddle around him, then you can afford to back off, if they rush you, you can break past them and the vanguard is defenseless
