And if your 12k shield could be crit (like people are asking for), this would go..:
1. Shield gon, 11k dmg to health.
2. re-shield
3. shield gone 11k dmg to health = dead.
(ofc thats a bit of an exaggeration as I'm guessing this was from stealth and probably empowered too - but I didn't add any abilities either.. however its an illustration of how useless crittable shields would be)
So OP would you be willing to pay say $75.00 for a better ESO experience?
I ask because, you know money talks pal.
To everyone who thinks shields should be critable...
Ok. I can get on board with that. So long as, for balance purposes, I can crit cast a shield adding my crit modifier to the shield amount, as it is an active ability.
There. Now we're all even.
Logged onto tf yesterday, ran a healing build and we pushed Methuselah's group back. Played it pretty well. Sure enough, calls in zone about sorc heals being op.
Just because someone plays a build well doesn't make it overpowered. I would like to see half the players who call for nerfs about certain builds play them half as well as the players they claim are running "op builds." Perhaps maybe players need to face the idea that maybe the reason you are dieing is because you didnt enter the situation correctly, and not because you are the best player ever and if someone beats you it must be they are overpowered.
The source of pvp turning into garbage is players with very little experience or missing insight coming on and making the assumption that they understand the math when they really don't, and applying the expectation that "well I know that this should be this way and if a player beats me, well thats obviously overpowered" without any math or evidence that actually backs it up. Its the reason why we have unkillable builds or builds with obviously slanted and circumstantial counters that favour the play style.
