Why can a level 20 beat a C100 char?

Aslanoglu

There was this level 20 odd NB, walking around just beating the *** out of everyone else. Decided to give it a try and got my ass handed to be about 7 times, and I'm Champion 100. How's this possible?

Cheers for the answers boys

You are bad at Elder Scrolls online, or CP.

But if you mention CP, then there will be a CHORUS of fanboi's who cite every possible reason from the sky is yellow, to the sun is blue to peppermint is a communist plot to over throw good sense.

But its the CP, a flawed system perpetuated by a disengaged development team that has to much vested into said system to ever do a mia culpa and say "yep its the CP system"

    1. A level 20 with max CP is potentially much more powerful than a cp100.
    2. A level 20 with no CP, but in at-level gear is potentially much more powerful than a CP100 in mismatched, outleveled gear.
    3. A good player on a level 20 is more dangerous than a bad player on a much more powerful (on paper) character.

Probably some combination of those 3 things--CP, gear, and player skill.

was playing a level 40 stam sorc and ran into a level 18 NB...we had a great time playing hide and seek around chalman milegate for about 15 minutes...

we're both playing in the 30 day cp campaign...

my account has around 580 cp points, and, I was wearing level 40 epic gear...

the level 18 nightblade was doing a great job, and, definitely appeared to be an experienced player on an alt character...

learned my lesson a long time ago about underestimating non vet characters...

with the combat leveling system, cp account points, and good gear - you can be very competitive with a non vet...

the toughest thing to do in that situation is to get your weapon damage or spell damage high enough to do enough damage to kill some vet players...

yeah, nothing more humbling than to be on a vet character and have some non vet whoop up on ya...

It's because battle levelling and cp can make for some stupid strong builds if you build right. No joke, you can make a mid 30s character that can spank most cp 600 players.

You got trolled. He was probably CP600+ with gold crafted gear and weapons. Might have even been running clever alchemist with potions, lol or some other advanced build. I'm not saying specifically that, but let's take a 1lvl 20 stamblade and give him an additional 1-2k weapon damage and CP 600 worth of passives, poor little CP 100 is gonna get slaughtered. He even knew going into the duel that you didn't have your end game gear yet because it's not worth it to invest in good gear between CP 10 - 160.

Because of the way new characters are automatically buffed to lvl 50 until they reach that level themselves since One Tamriel, they are pretty tanky in the beginning and can deal quite some damage as well. I noticed that when I created my Khajiit. His base stats were higher than my lvl 50's DK base stats were, especially when I put all the DK's attributes in one resource. In theory, a new lvl 1 character should be as powerful as he'd be on lvl 50.

Well yes battle leveling helps low levels but without CP cap hiden behind that lv 20 battle leveling would not be so agressive. That's combo of both low lv and CP cap makes some builds agressive agaisnt not preparred players.

This is true right around this level to 40s is where (with CP) you can make the strongest character

Lol if you are crying about a lvl 20.

I wonder what would happened if I took a video of my lvl 6 killing a destro spamming CP168. I was very funny to put the beat down on the destro ult spamming [insert comment here]. He swore I was cheating. But in fact he was just a lacklustering player in all areas of the game, even after trying to kill my lvl 6 with a EoTS. :sunglasses:

Battle-leveling in Cyrodiil made sense when it took forever to get from v1 to v16. Now? I don't see the point. Battle level in the under 50 campaign and leave the other campaigns without. If you want to survive in those, level up.

This guy gets it. %99 of the time the level 10 will win. More if level 10 has the dubius throne or Witchmother brew buff foods running. And has over 22k Health at level 10. If you are not PvP spec'ed more times then not that level 10 will win.

His main is probably a CP600 which means he has 600 CP stacked on that innocent looking level 20.

Yeah, this is totally true. I play low level characters in the blackwater blade cyrodiil campaign and every time I level up, my stats go down. It's sad... It seems totally opposite of how it should be!
