Random infinite loading screens

So far I've had them going from wrothgar to craglorn, from several zones when going to hundings hall in stros makai and when entering taarengrav dungeon in the rift. It just goes to the loading art with the ouroboros revolving and sits there, crashing out of the game is the only way to stop it that I've found

Same here - mostly when traveling to craglorn.

What do you mean by "random"?

In my experience, there is no evident consistency in the amount of time that will pass before a "loading screen" is replaced by the game client with the extant game content. Most "loading screens" last about 30 - 90 seconds, seldom less and often even longer, and it can certainly seem to be an eternity before we can resume play of the game. Not that I criticize anyone for losing hope and terminating the session voluntarily -- I've done it myself on occasion.

Aside from that, when the ouroboros -sp?- stops spinning in the lower right corner of the display, then one of two things is likely to happen soon:

    (1) Either the game client will return me to the Main Log-in Screen, apparently because the session has been terminated (perhaps timed-out) by the "megaserver", or, less often, the game client simply exits, with or without an error reporting form displayed on the way out. If the client exits to the desktop, then I use the Launcher Game Options menu choice Repair Files before launching the game client again.

    (2) The ouroboros resumes spinning for a while, and eventually I can resume play of the game whenever the game client receives whatever it needs to do that. This continuation happens most often when I log-out of one character and log-in to another one instead, but the ouroboros might resume spinning in other contexts too.

Had the same issue in Glenumbra: once exiting Mages Guild in Daggerfall, once porting from Daggerfall wayshrine to Aldcroft wayshrine. Both cases somewhere after 10-15 minutes after starting game. After closing the game and restarting it - no such issues till exiting the game.

The ouroboros keeps spinning for me, stoping from time to time, but after a while he goes on - I did never wait for more then 3min (since it is faster to hard exit the game and restart) but once I was using the time for a quick walk to the toilett - maybe 10min or less - nothing changed in between so I restarted again. I was almost never "kicked" from the server.

It just sits in loading screens like I said, I left one running to see if it would time out, after AN HOUR! It was still on the same loading screen. Using task manager to shut the game down and log back in is the only thing that works

Thanks for sharing that. It seems that the problem on my system is that the host is too eager to drop my connection "due to inactivity" much too quickly. One time I sneezed, and by the time I had finished blowing my nose, the host had kicked me to the main log-in screen. ......

We aren't talking about long ones but infinite ones, it gets stuck on the screen and cannot get out, the devs have talked about it as an issue before and it did go away but now it's back like a bad smell

Got another one just today in Craglorn. I was forced to shutdown the game using task manager after 15 minutes of waiting. Half a year ago I had such a problem only in Cyrodiil.

I got one last night traveling point to point in Grahtwood. Granted this was shortly after exiting PvP, so who knows what state my client thought it was in.
