My delicious pvp moment

I am a newbie in pvp, just started Cyrodiil a few days ago. Currently at cp 330 with sorc.

Another alliance was attacking our fort and as I was approaching the place when I thought I'd sneak in from the side. There was this 600-700 lvl templar or whatever, shot by ballista, health somewhere around 60%. A perfect catch. I charged up my power overload and dumped light attacks right in his back as tried to heal himself but there is no resisting power overload attack!

After a second his friends wiped me out... but still something about that felt soo satisfying. PVP seems to be full of 600+ level invincible people but today I took one of them down.

That is what I saw in my screen. Just today I read that cap is 630 but why I see even 800+ level players on my addon?

Champion points. The cap is currently 600. You should PvP on the non-CP campaign, Azura's Star, though.

Then there is a level value that keeps on increasing even when the cap has been reached. Apparently that tactical combat addon is reading that value.

People can go above the CP cap, but they can only spend a total of 630 CP. So if you are 700 CP, only 630 CP can be used.

I see players actual CP all the time. Not sure what addon it is or if it's just the base game but as my cross hair moves on a player I see their CP level.

Highest I've seen so far is 1157.

So...you shot an unsuspecting player in the back from stealth(and you still couldn't take him out in 1-2 hits with Overload?)? Good job, something to be proud of indeed.
Now granted, if he was legit good he would have dodged or reflected it back at you after the first hit...but that's another story.

Give OP a break. Don't discredit him/her of their achievements. We all started from the bottom you know.

I remember killing a lvl 47 as a lvl ~20 or so and it was oddly satisfying. All done before anyone reached VR ranks back in the day.
I'm sure you have a similar experience back then as well so let the OP have his/her day today.

I've always tried to choose upfront fights rather than attacking one in the back. Most of all when I was a newbie, it just felt so...not right. I tried once and it was the most un-satisfying thing I've ever done in the game. I mean obviously it's just a game and everyone plays it how they like, some of my good friends gank and that's fine, but to come to the forums to show off being able to kill a supposedly better player by hitting them in the back when they were already low? I wouldn't care much in the game but showing it off as an achievemenht is just silly.

The achievement here is using overload in PvP and actually getting a kill with it

Lol. Good point. Seems like OP just got lucky on that one though. Call me a bad person but I'd find it more funny if the 600 cp reflected his ulti back at him rather than die the potato death :p

It was templar apparently. So newbie shooting templar in the back when they are low is probably the only scenario where they can pull it off. Granted, he probably pulled it off only because that templar was slow on his "im full health again" button, but still a achievement in some sense...

Best moment for me was probably getting caught by a bunch (10+) ep who chased me for a while, to find one of them tbagging me while the others stopped to watch.
Friendly Stamblade pops up right in the middle of them, 1-shots the tbagger mid tbag then stealths away.. Couldn't stop laughing.

Well that is one of the balancing issues in PvP... Everybody is using Full heavy armour with impen trait and often One-Handed and Shield... and for the amount of armour they have they still can hit like a truck... But maybe after sustain nerf we will see more people using light & medium armour who knows...

You can't just wear anything in PvP and hope it works. Yes everything works if you surf with zerg groups, stay in the back and snipe people, but that doesn't help you to improve your skills. If you want to do well you have to build your character properly. Choose 1 sustain set of your choice and a damage set of your choice.

No CP is so different than CP. I'm actually enjoying no CP, but it requires a different build imo.

The real trick is getting impen, no CP tree to offset that mf sturdy traited shoulder piece.

I've said it before and say it again: I absolutely love this game because it is not so straightforward. I cannot just get all the stuffs, buffs, and bot myself to greatness. I must study, try, fail, try again and evolve.

I had an amazing moment the other day(amazing for me atleast)

Cp320 mag sorc 5 spriggan 5 BSW all divines 1 infernal gurdian i have a gold precise spriggan inferno staff (best i can do)

So my gear is pretty good id say.

I play in non cp, i was taking the farm at gladsmist and i see three guys running up i figure im dead so i charge them( should have waited at the resorce to use the npcs but yolo am i right).
So i charge them pop a sheild and streak behind a tree and lay down some mines. One guy rushes in and i dodge roll towards the others he gets immobilized by my mines. I stick a meteor on one of the others and frag the last guy so they are all preoccupied for a second or two. I target the guy with the meteor on hIm with a curse mages wrath and a frag he dies i turn my attention to the other guy who was just getting up from the frag. Slapped him with a curse force pulse and mages wrath he dies. The other guy sees his buddies are dead and starts to run i laugh and just ram him from behind until he is dead.

My adrenaline was pumping heart racing i stand and let out a sigh.

I checked and they were all around 200-300 cp so about the same as me. Im not the greatest player but i have my moments. Not 20 min before this i got killed by a guy literally in 1 second from a crit rush dawnbreaker haha i wasnt ready.

Good job man. Listen. Don't pay attention to the scrubs trying to dis on you over your first PvP success. It only gets better from here. As primarily a NB player I think it's pretty kewl you snuck up on your prey as a Sorc. You fight on your terms. Not the enemy's, whenever possible. Well done.

Yeah especially considering most of the victories one gets are from identifying opponents' weaknesses and capitalizing on them. This includes situations of low resources having your back turned to opponents and being outnumbered. Welcome to eso pvp. Have fun !

Although I am not playing that game anymore, one of my best memories are still:

1vsXing in Warsong Gulch while my entire team was too frightened to jump down the cliff ... and still managing to cap the opponents flag :)

I hope that CCs here will get an overhaul so that we can play true kiting style, since I love that.
