1. Find small to medium size group of terrible players with PVE builds that don't dodge, shield, heal up, block or otherwise defend themselves properly.
2. Take footage. Post on YouTube. Add a back drop of some horrible band. Make a post here to stroke your ego.

Number #1 isn't that hard to find if you look hard enough. They're everywhere.

2. Don't add anything from a terrible band. Only good bands. You know the classics of rock music. One of the Big 4 is always a good choice. Disturbed, Avenged Sevenfold, Alter Bridge and Slash also good choices. As long as its not Death, Black, or *something*Core it should be fine. Or you could be even cooler and use classical music. Jazz and Blues wouldn't really seem fitting to me. Rap could work. Pop or any Electronic music is not a very good idea IMO, shows lack of taste for a 1vX clip.
Hi. I watch a lot of the 'big' streamers and while I'm very appreciative for the build videos they make, I would LOVE to see one of these guys/gals make a tutorial about how to go about learning how to 1vX. If it was done well it would be showing essential skills/rotations, how to make the fights possible - what tactics are absolute must-know. Who to target, how to effectrively resource manage etc etc.
At the moment I'm happy to go after 5-6 low-skill players (scrubs, I believe the term is? lol) or 2 or 3 average skill players. I also play 3 different characters at the moment (magplar, magDK and stamblade) and I have to have completely different approaches to combat (obviously) to play to the chars individual strengths. But now I really want to push hard and take the next step and be properly competitive.
Most important of all - I play on Azura Star as I love the lack of the CP safety net - its frustrating as hell and incredibly punishing but its also TONS of fun.
Any ideas suggestions discussion banter etc etc - bring it on!

I don't have time to watch the streamers these days, but I can help with some insight from my experiences:
* Essential skills/rotations
AOE CC is a must have (can be done without, but much easier with). Gives you breathing room when pressured. You can usually catch 1 or 2 that run out of stam and can't break free after chasing you. Any skill that facilities mobility as well. Not too much else to add as its very class-specific.
* What tactics are absolute must-know
Line of sight (LOS) is probably the most fundamental. Know where you can pull to if you need to retreat momentarily (cliffs, rocks, trees). Also, animation cancelling is huge. You don't have to time to wait for your shuffle animation if there's 2 snipe spammers and a constant radiant locked on to you. Make sure to be comfortable with dodge, swap, and block cancels.
* Who to target
Very situational. Be able to quickly identify what builds you're fighting. Healers are typically the biggest threat, but often the most difficult to kill. Taking one enemy out at the start will put pressure on the others, and one or two might stop attacking to go for the rez (which obviously you'll need to stop, this is also an easy opportunity for a quick burst while they rez). If I can't burst the healer, I try to take out the enemy with the highest-damage/easiest-to-kill ratio (snipe spammers with 18k health, mag sorcs with terrible uptime on shields, etc.)
As noted in the comments above, you will die a lot more than succeed. There's definitely a learning curve involved. Start paying attention to details before you go in, and figure out what you could have done better if you end up dying.

And you will die. And that's ok.
To many people are hung up on trying to survive as much as possible; it's a game and you are going to respawn lol
