For those of you that do not watch the video. It's of me going pew pew (was just gonna pew pew till he engaged) and then getting absolutely wrecked lol.
He is a good player obviously (experienced too! Look at the rank!)
My beef is not with the build, not with the player, not with the abilities or sets.
It's with the game.
First off, I REALLY hate how "things" happen (such as stun, roots, FEAR, etc) that DO NOT APPEAR ON MY SCREEN!
As a console player I have no buff tracker, supposedly this was their way of making it feel more "natural" and have players use VISUAL cues to see wtf was going on. (I think it was just an excuse imo...) then came the discovery of animation cancelling (not complaining about this exactly.)
But what gets me is kinda a couple of things.
1. A proc set that is dodgeable, with a freakin bear should not be cancellable, if it is, it is no longer dodgeable is it?
2. If there is animation cancelling, then I should be able to cancel the CC animation and break
3. If you watch the video I'm dead before the animation of the CC break finishes, and move a bit before my screen actually shows I'm dead (you can tell as both resource pools go to 0% prior to my health bar) this gives me the illusion I can respond, very annoying.
It's like the game can't handle itself, like "HaHa! Sorry about that, I guess I should've told ya you were stunned." Or "Whoops, actually that heal? Yeah, well, you were dead before then, sorry my bad."
It's just so freaking frustrating!
