I wish I had more clips to share but I'm awful at deleting clips to make room for more so sorry there's but trust when I say it's very viable for 1vX as well as group play.
I run 5 piece heavy seducer, 5 fasallas and 2 piece troll king / skoria ( could go grothdaar or bloodspawn as well and be effective im sure) with destro staff (ulti) and s/b.
The build takes getting used to and is not easy to run but when you get it down the tanky/trolly/damage will give hours of fun. I swap bars a bit but the staples are swallow soul (or sap for group), merciless resolve, siphoning, mirage, mass hysteria, lotus fan and cripple and refreshing path.
You'll need something to provide major sorcery, I use structured entropy for extra health, personally but sap works as well. You get a couple guys on you, throw some cc, target out one wait for your destro and hit with some burst. By the time you destro the are just starting to realize fasallas debuff and it's usually too late. I run impale to finish off the weak enemies. Any questions let me know, I'm at work but will respond when I can. CP, 95-100 in cost reduction, 40+ in block cost, few in to defile, 70 in impen and 5 more elsewhere for the 75 other passive, 95-100 in spell damage, 20-25 thermaturge as I run about 4-5 dots.

I've been looking for a saptank build as well. I just don't have the cp to justify going into a cp campaign. How well do you think that build would fare in a non-cp campaign?

x5 Transmutation, x4/x5 alchemist x2 Troll King/bloodspawn/etc
Front bar, fire staff
Mass hysteria, Revitalizing Path, Swallow Soul, Merciless Resolve and Implale, Soul Harvest
Blessing of Restoration, Entropyy, Mutagen, Healing Ward and Siphoning Attacks ult Life's Champion
I may drop Siphoning (if I can manage stamina well) to plop path there and then add a destro staff ability to the front bar.
Works extremely well, for Non CP i want to drop Alchemist for a magicka set, any suggestions?
Btw 5 heavy
12 piece destro ult

I practically have to slot eots for the 8% fure staff boost as the NB abilities are better than the destro staff abilities. Plus all the perks for slotting NB abilities.
I love the healing on my NB, im gonna adjust slightly but the build is solid...
Btw Anyone know what the best 5 piece armor that can come in heavy would be best for maximizing the magicka pool? I'm looking over some options
