What is a viable / effective sap tank or magblade build for PVP currently?

I was really really interested in running @KenaPKK 's build seen here https://youtube.com/watch?v=NZES4RlNrfU , however, Desert Rose now has a 4 second cooldown, not a 1 second cooldown, so I feel like this setup would be much less effective.

Does anyone have any setups that are working for them currently?
Or @KenaPKK if you had any input that would be super cool :)

Thanks a lot for any insight!

Hey, I run multiple different setups on my nightblade and finally got around to trying a sap tank and it is a BLAST. I wish I had more clips to share but I'm awful at deleting clips to make room for more so sorry there's but trust when I say it's very viable for 1vX as well as group play.

I run 5 piece heavy seducer, 5 fasallas and 2 piece troll king / skoria ( could go grothdaar or bloodspawn as well and be effective im sure) with destro staff (ulti) and s/b.

The build takes getting used to and is not easy to run but when you get it down the tanky/trolly/damage will give hours of fun. I swap bars a bit but the staples are swallow soul (or sap for group), merciless resolve, siphoning, mirage, mass hysteria, lotus fan and cripple and refreshing path.

You'll need something to provide major sorcery, I use structured entropy for extra health, personally but sap works as well. You get a couple guys on you, throw some cc, target out one wait for your destro and hit with some burst. By the time you destro the are just starting to realize fasallas debuff and it's usually too late. I run impale to finish off the weak enemies. Any questions let me know, I'm at work but will respond when I can. CP, 95-100 in cost reduction, 40+ in block cost, few in to defile, 70 in impen and 5 more elsewhere for the 75 other passive, 95-100 in spell damage, 20-25 thermaturge as I run about 4-5 dots.

i keep trying to figure out a way to make fasallas effective...great stuff @HEBREWHAMMERRR ...

I really like the idea of a heavy armor saptank...

must freak folks out a bit when they realize they can't out slug a nightblade...

I've been looking for a saptank build as well. I just don't have the cp to justify going into a cp campaign. How well do you think that build would fare in a non-cp campaign?

That build you linked will still work, just swap Desert Rose for Syrabane and make sure you have a Templar in group that keeps up magickasteal

I actuallly had finished it right when noncp week was here. It was much harder to use without the cost reduction and healing passive whenever you're crit. Still doable but I'd maybe add wall of elements for magicka steal possibly.

I'm running a mNB right now, off healer.

    x5 Transmutation, x4/x5 alchemist x2 Troll King/bloodspawn/etc

    Front bar, fire staff
Mass hysteria, Revitalizing Path, Swallow Soul, Merciless Resolve and Implale, Soul Harvest

Blessing of Restoration, Entropyy, Mutagen, Healing Ward and Siphoning Attacks ult Life's Champion

I may drop Siphoning (if I can manage stamina well) to plop path there and then add a destro staff ability to the front bar.

Works extremely well, for Non CP i want to drop Alchemist for a magicka set, any suggestions?

Last patch I ran 5 fasallas/5 overwhelming surge/ 2 Grothdarr, sword and board and destro. It was really strong with the heal debuff from fasallas and double proc sets I haven't played it after the proc set nerfs though. It may still be strong. The fasallas was great for the extra healing with path and swallow soul you have about 4k worth of hots constantly coming in and in 6 heavy with sword and board you are around 30k resist fully buffed, and with poisons and procs you had good damage, plus the destro ultimate on the back bar. The only downside was it didn't have a reliable burst heal. It was kind of a cheesy build as well lol

Sorcerna, proud beta sorc. RIP April 2014 to May 31 2016 DArk Brotherhood. Out of retirement for negates and encases. Sorcerna will be going back into retirement to be my main crafter Fall 2018. Because an 8 k shield is f ing useless. Died because of baddies on the forum. Too much qq too little pew pew. 16 AD 2 DC. 0 EP cause they bad, CP 2300 plus 18 level 50 toons. NA, PC, Grey Host#SORCLIVESMATTER actually they don’t or they wouldn’t keep getting nerfed constantly.

Last patch I was running a sap tank with 5x Fasalla's Guile, 5x Desert Rose, and 2x Scourge Harvester (Malubeth), in a 5x heavy 2x light w/ double sword/shield.

The nerf to desert rose basically broke the build. Sap tanks have a problem in that the healing they are capable of is far more resource intensive than what is available to other classes. Simultaneous nerfs to Blur, Strife, and Malubeth's were just nails in the coffin. With the blur nerf just adding insult to injury as the PvE build I used was Tavas based.

I can almost make the build work again if I swap out Fasalla's for Seducer and push my magicka regen into the 3k+ range, but at that point any utility that the build provided the group is gone. Our groups tends to do much better with a templar or dk filling the same role this patch.

It was fun while it lasted though. Hopefully ZOS will give some thought to sap-tanks and the comparatively high cost of healing on the class at some point in the future.

I practically have to slot eots for the 8% fure staff boost as the NB abilities are better than the destro staff abilities. Plus all the perks for slotting NB abilities.

I love the healing on my NB, im gonna adjust slightly but the build is solid...

Btw Anyone know what the best 5 piece armor that can come in heavy would be best for maximizing the magicka pool? I'm looking over some options

The trainee set is still really good even after the nerf it gives about 3600 extra magicka, it's a really good set to pair with a damage set. With trainee and a damage set you would be around 43 to 45k max magicka in heavy armor with about 30k health

Question about pirate, does it's animation cover costumes or other forms' appearance? Is there a visual cue always? As a console player i don't have access to a tracker yet and don't have the pirate set completed yet (i just wanna pvp all day lol)
