PvP Healing

Is it fun? Or would I still get 3 shotted as a Heavy Amor Magplar healer like my Light Amor Magblade does? :)
Fairies are invisible and inaudible like angels. But their magic sparkles in nature.

- I solemnly swear that I am up to no good.

    IB4 LOL L2P Crowed.

Generally good healers with good builds can be a PITA to kill, check for some guides and advice online (there are a number of sites or threads with builds) and you should be able to find something good.

As I haven't finished my healer yet I've not taken her into PvP so I don't have a build at hand, sorry.

I am a foolish healer, I play PvP with my PvE gear. All I wear is divine and infused armor, and get 1 hit all the time :) Healing is fun, especially if the person you heal goes on a rampage and kills everything.

My advice would be try and stay behind your alliance ( not in the front ) during fights. You will be rewarded with AP.

If you want a friend, get a dog.

Healers are team players, support role, but they get rewarded with plenty of AP. You will be focused so there is a need to be tanky. Like you, heals should be on crown, helps encourage everyone else to be there also.

    Sword & Board/Resto........Thief mundus(Heals crit).........All regen on jewelry(you need plenty of it)

5 Heavy Kags all Impen (Impen should be at least 2K buffed)

A healer set that helps your crew.

    5 Spell Power Cure
    Worm ..................... 2-3 Inpen
    Transmutation

2 Pirate Skeleton Monster set for some extra tankiness.

Healing is lots of fun if you've got folks to heal. A heavy armor magplar healer is usually not a soft target, but if you're caught in the open alone you're not killing much either. Stick to groups.

Assuming for a second that you're a Magplar Vamp, let me recommend slotting harness Magicka in the same slot as breath of life. That way when you bar swap you are either burst healing or casting a huge shield. It works wonders for me and I wear divines and infused as well. Never been a fan of impen.

Honestly... Pvp healing is all about the mentality. In execution it is VERY one dimensional.

The unfortunate reality in the current state of the game is that only one of the 4 healing options is really worth using as it provides the best results with the least amount of player agency. The 5th healing option via warden is not going to change this unlesd big changes are made.

Nightblade and warden healing (based on pax feedback) are very active amd require a lot from both the recipient and the caster, which makes for very nice and dynamic healing, unfortunately there is little reason to bother with trying to make that dynamic work when you can make an incredibly tanky templar with a powerful burst heal that smart targets automatically where the recipient has to do very little. At least magsorcs burst heal (strongest in game) comes with the added concession of 2 bar slots and pet micro.

Imho, of the 4 healers, templar is the least engaging, least demanding to perform well, and most potent in heal throughput. Take that for what its worth.

Make sure that you can survive with limited aid. Nothing more annoying then when your healer gets one shot. They tend to get focused in a fight...
