Journal inconsistencies/mind of its own.

I've been fighting with this all week. As you know most missions are multi tiered, but I'm finding my journal likes to select w/e in the heck it wants after doing the first part of any multi tiered missions. Meaning rather than automatically selecting the second, third, or fourth part of an ongoing mission, its wanting me to go run a dungeon half the world away. Also I'm finding that the journal will select w/e it wants after talking to key figure in mission( not even completing mission, just a character that needs to be talked to in mid mission ).
